Well I have played many games but since the rise of android its become our habit to play games I am a hardcore gammer n hence I have every kind of gaming I need . I never thought how people say that shield sucks but first I would say that those who r not hardcore gammers hence its must be sure to know that what brand they r buying cause everyone has there preferences for a tab(like some would take it for camera or gaming or something else ) n mine is gaming while I have used tegra 4 , tegra k1, n now this x1 the best part tegra 4 was so powerful that it could give dead trigger like games a shock because the power of processor was so much only with 1 GB of ram n then shield k1 arrived with 2 GB of ram asphalt 8 was nothing to it n now X1 i know u must be saying that why nvidia always say that there processers can calculate physics but what would be its use but its something u get with this powerful processor its unbelievable fast . By the way I have also owned 2 MSI laptops n one razor blade its good to play every game n I don't like ps4 n Xbox ...not for some reason just it doesn't give more option n while PC has more value for me in my life . Nvidia will change the course of gaming both in android n PC

The k1 was very surprising how fast it play new games ,I can only imagine how fast the X1 will be ,plus it will use less power ,they will be no other tablet that can touch it in gaming

That's all great about your Sony "TABLET". However, unless Sony starts sharing their PS3/4 games, the Sony tablet only has Google apps, slightly crippled by Blutooth controllers as opposed to WiFi direct like the Nvidia controller uses.
If the X1 tablet can share 4 controllers and Twitch like the Shield TV, there is another strike against the Sony or other tablets.
Nvidia's Gaming servers are definitely not shared to Sony tablets so, the Z whatever is a bust. Especially since PS3 games are now ready for porting to the X1 Shield TV, and probably the X1 tablet, I am guessing.

While this cannot be compared to next gen consoles with still fairly powerfull. Games such as Crysis 3, Borderlands Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2, The Talos Principle and so many other games have been confirmed to release on devices running tegra X1 in GDC 2015

It just hints on how fast technology has been progressing and shows that consoles may need to update more often to keep ahead.

Never compare this to a computer or a console (PS4 and Xbox 1). Those things run off the socket in your wall (lots of power), whilst this tablet has to take efficient "small sips" from a battery.. So of course you will never get that level of gaming out of that machine

This GPU will get hot, and it will never be as fast as a modern day GPU, it just won't.
In terms of what you said about efficiency, perhaps yes, on a much smaller scale, however you're comparing a remote controlled car with a Ferrari.
We are a very long way away from being close to emulating a desktop GPU.

The architecture of the X1 has surpassed the efficiency of most modern desktop architectures(kepler, hawaii, etc.) which allows for speeds which may have taken over a hundred watts a few years ago, can now be fitted into smaller chips with significantly less power. Voltage management(main heat source) is also very low and fluctuating which keeps temps. down and allows for more passive cooling which in turn has less throttling and high frequencies which gives better FLOPS(render output units)

I prefer the xperia z3 compact tablet or the z4 tablet beacause it works faster and dont freeze never, and they are not heavy. HELLO FROM PERÚ =) abrahamever@hotmail.com

1 TerraCrap. There is no way that a crappy mobile GPU has more power than a desktop GPU, also there can't be a sustained throughput without overheating.
Just play more than 2 hours with a phone and you'll see the result

Why? -> it spreads the CPU/GPU generated heat across the whole device instead of letting it stay in the same place like how all common phones and tablets do. Why should you care? -> slower hear accumulation -> takes much longer for the device to start throttling (which every device on the planet does). So if you plan to play games, you shouldn't be complaining about the slight extra weight. If you are not playing games, why are you even looking at a Shield to begin with?

I just hope they improve their build quality and test it more, I had 2 Shield Tablet's and both were plagued with freezes, and the infamous cracks, so I returned them, I am rocking a Xperia z3 tablet right now, and its been working great, something I didnt like about the Shield tablet was that it was heavy, near 1 pound heavy, while the z3 tablet is paper thin and light at just 270g

AnonD-352420, 26 Nov 2015OS optimization doesn't have a big effect on the graphics p... morewhat u said is non sense .... a good system optimization is reflected in the overall performace and yes it affects frames too because a poor optimizated and bloated system use more ram buddy and ram has to do with bench and bench are made for check how good is the device with all internals.... cpu is important too because when we have a good number of mhz games can run smoother ....better if this number is comming from a single cpu wich most of the apps use..... more cores is only more power to run an app and open faster..load times. but i prefer custom cpu like kryo i have never been a fan of the big litthe 8 cores .... graphics are other thning.... nvidia cards in this department are the best well atleast for emulators because even the old k1 is able to run almost smooth wii and game cube games with dolphin ... im sure if system use more ram and cpu has less ghz the experince wont be the same .... other wise why people overclock their phone ..... u see little boy u see what happens if we say than only graphic card matter.....cry alone boyy cry
