ZeroLemon launches 3,500mAh battery case for Galaxy S6 edge+ and Note 5

26 November, 2015
ZeroLemon has released a 3500mAh battery case for Samsung's newest flagship devices, the Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5. The case should be able to provide more than one full charge for the built-in battery of both devices.

Anonymous, 26 Nov 2015such a fuc. kn ugly case.... why dont u keep that remov... moreI agree with you all the way. It takes 10 sec. to replace the discharged battery if it is removable. Commonsense has no place in this world anymore.

    I understand & appreciate everyone's opinion here.
Fact is - we can't change the fact that these phones don't have removable batteries & are extremely fragile & susceptible to damage when dropped (due to idiotic design decisions). No point crying over spilt milk.
This case attempts to resolve both issues. If I had any of these devices - I would definitely get this case - especially at that bargain price!

AnonD-196068, 26 Nov 2015I suspect this is in addtion to the internal battery, so yo... moreNo, you don't get "6500" mAh in total. The 3500 mAh additional will only transfer up to 70% to charge the 3000 mAh internal, which is 2450 mAh additional. The always expect loss with even powerbanks or external batteries because of the heat. Them there's the fact that these batteries deteriorate over time and charging cycles. You have to even feel it heating up in your pocket while it's charging.

Knowing that it just becomes dead weight to the Note.5 after, and even before charging is annoying. A removable battery system whereby you have swap the battery would have been the best and most efficient, and even keeping the device thin.

I don't know why most people want to inherit the problems of Apple users with sealed batteries.

NechPech, 26 Nov 2015Same here. 3,500 mAh is pathetic.I suspect this is in addtion to the internal battery, so you actually get 6500mah in total. Don't forget neither of these phones have user replacable batteries so I don't see how else this can work. Basically this is a power bank that fits over the phone from what I understand. Granted the article does not make that clear one way or the other and the figure is still not that great even with the extra capacity.

Ew. While the previous 2 generations for the Galaxy Notes had Zerolemon 10,000mAh extended batteries, now it's just a third of that and calculating the loss from transferring power would only give some 80% of charge.

              Just a waste.

This is what happens when Samsung tries real hard to be like Apple with silly sealed battery.

While ZereLemon is known for its quality, it's disappointing that the battery capacity is only 3,500 mAh. Still, will probably grab one for my Note 5.
