RejZoR, 05 Dec 2015I'll never understand how EVERYONE brags how latest Android... moreThe second. It's not even funny how heavier marshmallow is from android 2.x

So yeah, don't flash this rom if you don't want to turn your phone into paperweight.

RejZoR, 05 Dec 2015I'll never understand how EVERYONE brags how latest Android... moreThis is more issues of hardware incompatibility, for example mediatek used to take ages to release drivers for new android versions, which held back both developers and companys cooking ROMs and updates. Sometimes, you get phones which somehow keep getting working ROMs though, I ran 4.4 on an lg p500 relatively bug free (600 MHz 512 ram 77 mb free space)

AnonD-81610, 05 Dec 2015Not too shabby specs for a 6 year old phone. Heck it's eve... moreAlthough it only has 1320mah.. It only has a single core.. And it can be underclocked to 100mhz during standby and its kernel is very mature.. Not to forget it also had an extra large battery (3000mah) as an accessory complete with its own battery door which includes a kickstand

Heck it's even better than my Galaxy S1.
The only downside I see in this phone is the 1230 mAh battery, I would be suprised if it lasts half a day. You might get 1 day use if it only syncs and you don't touch the phone.

And if HTC would build a new version of hd2,they may not be in so much trouble, but Google wouldn't be happy, because we would want it even more unlocked and capable than nexus range,Google's own "devs" line of devices..an hd2(b) sales might take them by suprise..a properly unlocked uber phone that will last 7 years !!! sign me up....

RejZoR, 05 Dec 2015I'll never understand how EVERYONE brags how latest Android... moreIt's simple, really.
While the OS has taken steps towards using less RAM (then ICS or JB), the OS itself has grown to rival a full Windows 10 installation. Older devices simply don't have enough storage, some were released with less than 1GB. Also, I'd expect newer features, like Google Now, to require more CPU power than an old CPU can deliver.

So you're right, when people say newer Android versions don't require many resources, they tend to only mean memory and not think of the whole system.

RejZoR, 05 Dec 2015I'll never understand how EVERYONE brags how latest Android... moreYou have to remember that the cpu etc in Leo's are optimised to run winmo 6.5,never android.
hardware changes over the years, trying to get or write drivers that work as well as up to date hardware/drivers is asking a bit much,it's still a very nice phone to use, with the right roms on it,but bits will never work as well as newer kit...and as things like nfc, finger print readers etc get but deeper, the hd2 devs and device itself will have harder and harder job to get is to run well,if at all...

Which the most recent OS works on this without problems? I remember, when HD2 came out.. fast, big, best and first with capacitive screen windows mobile phone then.

This is a very early build of marshmallow rom for hd2 so later build will resolve the bugs and kinks.. The fact that you dont understand this shows that you are a noob.. Go back and read more and then read some more and only then can you start to talk
