But that's not what we are talking about.. To say that Mediatek's processors have no heating issues compared to one of the fastest processors out there is a ridiculous comparison to make.

AnonD-82281, 25 Dec 2015Lol. Any figures to back that up? A quick search proves you... moreActually, TSMC is the largest. By country, it goes US, South Korea, then Taiwan. Mediatek only broke into the top 10 recently.

I see many comments about multi-core being less important than single-core, but people fail to realize that phones are no long a single task device. You've probably got several different chat programs simultaneously, email clients, calendar and timer events, all that can be allocated to many different CPUs. The real CPU hogs are games and those that don't take advantage of mult-cores would at least have a CPU that is pretty much dedicated to them. So, I would say multi-core performance is a lot more important once your single-core can run the game of your choice smoothly.

Cool. Then again, today's top processors are overkill already.

its 20 nm fabrication will effect the battery life and heating up of the phone but it doesnt matter.... x20 is gonna be un most of the higher mid range devices in d next year and pretty mych gonna rule the budget segment and also tons of chinese smartphones
