I only hope they treat the Samsung Note Edge fairly and not just forget it...m still holding on to it with the hope that they will give the new TouchWiz UI in the next update

how unfair where in the Note Edge came first for that functionality yet its not getting any update..Lollipop isn't that good with the edge..i was just forced to update it because of battery issues and Lollipop fixed it but messed the UI for the note edge.

I agree the edge software is a bit of a gimmick BUT, the edge is much nicer and easier/more comfortable to hold than the regular S6. For this reason alone I would buy it again over the S6 non edge variety.

At the same time the most beautiful phone around and yet slimmer and better equipped. Easily one of the best phones around. I do agree the actual edge doesn't provide much MORE additional functionality, but we are talking about he phone which already have everything known to the man's kind, just better.

Edge maybe a gimmick at the moment but Sammy should add these features which will make it great:
1)Use it for shoulder buttons(R1,L1) in games.It might require some exclusive games or specific optimizations in games but a lot of OEM have done similar optimizations before eg nvidia tegrazone,Sony PS,lg 3d games,Nokia ngage.
2)Can use the edge for replicating a real camera button.The lack of half press for autofocus isn't important if it has laser autofocus.

for crying out loud how gimmick or useless the "edge" model is. of course it's a gimmick and useless by far! but did you think they made it just for the sake of nothing? well they're not forcing you to buy it, you have other choice to choose for... some people just dont care what feature inside in it but they choose it because of unique design of it. there are only 4 edge model in the world yet.

Always such a huge wasted gap on home screen between dock and bottom row of icons, the 3 dots are tiny indicating each screen but why huge gaps?

Check your facts. Android 6.0.1 is just about some new/updated emoji (we need an OS update for emojis, how messed up is that?). If there's any usability enhancement, that must be Samsung fixing their abysmal TouchWiz and lumping the fixes together with the 6.0.1 update.

Chen, 28 Dec 2015Caz it's Quad Core. Try Octa or Deca Core. Yeah, more cores is always the solution. Just throw 16 Cortex-A7 cores in there and you are set.

1. Curved edge display is a gimmick.
2. Samsung doesn't know what to do with it.
3. Android. This OS has lost its real value and is starting to head towards a slippery slope. No more innovation, less QA testing than before, no notable improvement of the UI, and memory/CPU usage optimization is long forgotten.

Why do you need an edge for this feature? The edge gives next to nothing in terms of features, not to mention it bumps the price up and makes it a weaker device.
A strip of LED lights or a strip of OLED would suffice to let you know whats going on in terms of notifications. Personally i wouldn't get one for all the above mentioned reasons, plus the fact that Touch Wiz is thee worst UI on the planet, overly colourful and ridiculously heavy.
Horrible, heavy and useless.

AnonD-441570, 28 Dec 2015its laggy because of touchwizi dont have lags on note 5. unless using facebook, but that is the app that have lag problems.
