I have several 32GB microSD cards still in use, some of them being a couple of years old and they're functioning perfectly inside phones and even inside a dslr with an adapter. SD cards don't get corrupted suddenly. Either there is something truly wrong with the card or the cardreader.

Lost several pictures and some apps. I got the SD card a month after it was released on the market. I don't trust mechanical hard-drives either, only ssd.

Because that is how you get an expensive data charge from your service provider. And some of the countries are still not 24/7 you can get LTE or even 3G connection. And some of the countries data charge are very expensive. Sometimes you need to go to specific place just to get the coverage. So stop being selfish and bias. People ask for it because they need it. Of course one device could not fit all of their needs. In the end, it is their decision which to buy.

Removable battery isn't a must and big high resolution screens aren't the best. It is legit, if you know how to think, instead of just complain.

The large microSD card provides a wealthy amount of storage that is accessible by the phone at all times. That is the main advantage and a smartphone without a microSD slot is honestly a deal-breaker for me. But I use my phone a little bit differently than the normal user.
