After the "chipgate" situation on Apple's iPhone 6s, I am asking to myself: is this 14nm process really a good choice? TSMC's offer - which uses a 16nm process - had better battery life and less heat, alltough it is a small difference, it is there. And for Qualcomm - after the Snapdragon 810 feedback and bad talk - it is very important that this 820 is as good as it can be! What is your opinion? If you have knowledge on this matter, I would appreciate your contribution.

Also Samsung's semiconductor foundry is separate from their chip design team.

Why is there a red arrow pointing up on the speed meter thing. If you go up (counter clockwise) your speed goes down. That's not good.
Then there's a green downwards arrow on the battery indicating that the battery charge will go down and the green color is telling you that's a good thing.
Not very good image choices there. Hope the architectural choices they've made are a lot better.

When they do contract with certain company to power phones with sd , I believe, the very first model of the phone IS A MUST to test. And why they don't do that? What if Qualcomm tries to release it and make people think that they can fool people and that 'they will not feel that overheat at 100°c' lol, please, no more qualcomm

AnonD-43988, 14 Jan 2016Hope the Qualcomm chip is issue-free this time around.Should be, I think a lot of the issue's with the 810 were down to the A57 cores running at high frequencies on the 20nm process.
Plus Qualcomm are at their best when using their own custom CPU cores.

More chipset design blueprints for Samsung! Apple here, AMD there, nVidia this, Qualcomm that. Maybe next time Intel and/or TSMC gets in on the fun bunch but just a hunch

They kinda have to... Else it would not scale clockwise (or would throttle a lot like SD810).

And what about the devices that were already introduced with Snap 820? Are those chips made with Samsung as well? It's clear that Qualcomm doesn't do well lately - I'm afraid it will fall down in a minute.
