I'd rather buy a recently release smartphone around $105 and a separate camera between $100-$200 that has about 16MP, an OIS, and more than 3x Optical Zoom. They should save me about $300-$400

Zenfone 2 is a good package for it's price though, it's underestimated alot
The price of this Zenfone Zoom is to high, I don't think it will sell well

To be honest price is too much.. The display is FHD, not QHD, camera aperture is small compared to today's standards. And vary aperture. Better if it was fixed. And letting user to changed aperture settings like dslr.. For 38000INR this phone is not worth..

Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 2 both were successful phones in Indian market. That was because of the price and reasonable quality. But this price is huge. Who need optical zoom. Can buy a good phone and dslr camera for this price

This phone is most likely to be a giant failure in Indian market. If anyone from here who wants to choose a device for camera, they are likely to get an actual camera, with that price people can get two DSLRs. Most wouldn't feel "compact is my preference" and buy this phone. 2nd of all, Asus zen UI is not worth it, it is ugly and boring, not a flagship tier UI, only few people likes it. 3rd get over with Intel SoC, Android OS is not really meant for Intel SoC.
The phone itself and what it can do is great and remarkable but definitely not the price tag.

But yeah price is too big. Also why so much into camera? why not make something about performance? why nobody makes 720p amoled phone with 3500 MAh and SD810 at least and release it with a decent camera?

Oh let me tell you... I'm a K Zoom owner and I want to change my phone badly to the Zenfone Zoom because its the only "worthy" alternative at the moment.. You know, with the zoom lens. Plus the protruding lens can be very annoying at times and dusts gets in the lens easily! Plus the specs is wayyy outdated now compared to Zenfone Zoom... Can you imagine living with 8GB internal memory? Our needs are increasing, esp with apps & some data cannot be stored on an SD card. The Zenfone Zoom has a minimum of 64GB internal memory AND SD card support as well!! Screen is bigger with higher resolution, twice more RAM... What to complain about? I know its a bit pricey and it all depends on the country selling it.. But if most countries stick to the official price of USD399, then it should be fine to me and its fair enough for what you are getting.
