btw, not that i hope it will perform speedy like a quadcore or highend android, what im saying is about it features and microsoft willingness too seriously making this OS better. i did have a lumia 800 too and they decided to kill the first WP, oke i give it a try again with 520 because they promised that they will seriously making it to challenge android and ios. and.. it end up with joe belfiore twitting using an iphone, great now i see how serious microsoft and now i know why it take a long time just to develop simple feature like file browser.
lumia 520 is a 2013 smartphone and on that year dualcore is already mature and have many cheap dual core SoC, even broadcom already have dualcore SoC at 2012. and once again i dont complain about WP hardware power, its the feature, what the OS offering to the user as a SMART phone OS, for exp. live tiles? oh what a great thing and smart, right, but how about the implementation? until now only a few apps actually using it. USB otg is old feature, a single core from 5 years ago already have it, what about WP? u can stick anything to windows PC oh but microsoft VP cant make it because he is too busy texting on his iphone.
its not an excuse, its lazy, no vision and uninspiring from the development team.
i didnt choose 620 because it is TFT screen and it has smaller screen, i use this because i like here drive because it has accurate map on my country so a bigger screen and IPS LCD come first than a flashlight and 620 has snapdragon S4 which is a bad SoC in term of battery life and it has no radio FM and the last BL 5J is easier to find in here then BL 4J. so i choose 520. why not highend WP? 820 bad battery life, 720 price vs features its to high and got same RAM like the 520, and 920 got no sdcard, oh i forgot almost all highend WP got no sdcard slot, great idea.
when microsoft will have miracast for WP? 2020?
maybe they should go to xda and find a genuine smart guy and replace their mister Corporate Vice President, Operating Systems Group at Microsoft who delivered nothing than promises since WP 7 era (2010) till now

Just remember, Lumia 520 came at a time when other phones were having single core processors and basic cameras. If you haven't noticed, Lumia 520 basically set the benchmark for budget phones. U want flashlight? Then why didn't you buy lumia 620 then?

joe belfiore use an iphone, if microsoft exec choosing an iphone over his own OS, so what do you aspect from windowsphone? it is game over. they never really seriously making a good mobile OS from the start. what WP feature that u will miss if u choose other platform? none
the hardware underpower
bad strategy on their phones segmentation, like lumia 520 got no flash, they cant even fit a cheap simple led flash to make it useful as a flashlight.
the price not even cheap if u compare with the features
developers are running away
apps, mostly paid and expensive and rarely see a good free app
connectivity is not good, sharing files to other platform using bluetooth for ex. no usb otg, tv out, etc
we have to wait for years just to have basic file manager, amazing
internet browser just mehhh
the only useful thing in my lumia 520 are here drive and radio FM. RIP WP

This is just ridiculous. Who would buy this phone for that price? I mean, I have nothing against WP, but wtf is ms doing, wasting time on that? Better invest in finishing that wp10 update we were promised a long time ago...

Wp dont need high specs to perform well like other phones need count need higher count...count in camera count in ram count and etc...
dont buy wp if you dont want. wp is not pushing you to buy anyway. wp is not all about apps more games or such.
camera:
2mp on wp is equivalent to 5mp to other phones already
ram:
lumia 520 that has 512 ram can play aspalt 8 airborne as smooth as what you can see to other phones

Yes fans will pretend it.. But me as a Windows phone user will not pretend the OS or Lumia phones.. It cannot perform faster with this hardware. Even the price tag is like iPhone.. Nothing worth for that price. 8gb built in storage, 1gb ram and 2000mah battery are these day is below low end. In India I expect it not more than 6000Rs.
Microsoft should learn from Chinese manufacturers how to attract people. As your OS cannot attract people at least your hardware should.
