$299 price for Nexus 5X in US now permanent, Google confirms

Just a couple of weeks after Google slashed the price of its LG-made Nexus 5X smartphone in the US by $30, the device has received another official price cut in the country, bringing the total discount to $50.

The "permanent" price drop has expired. Now back to $349.

    Still prices are insanely high and people are buying just like there are buying expensive android phones.

Which costs more than double the the price of the 5x. Only an idiot would ever think you are getting a lot for the price of a low resolution iPhone 6s/6.

            Considering that it runs Android, this phone should not cost more than $99. As a matter of fact, no Android phone is worth more than $150.

              It should have launched at this price point.
              Considering it doesn't have a SD card slot, no dual-SIM option and the battery is on the weak side, even $300 is a bit too much to ask (but certainly more palatable than $350).

                Nexus 5X 16GB was €429, now €349. Nexus 5X 32GB was €479, now €399. Promotion period starting January 26, 2016, ending February 12, 2016."

                  I expect more price drop.

                    Why is there no price cut for Indian market?? Currently, Nexus 5X 16gb is around $294 and 32gb is around $456.

                      Had higher expectations from a Nexus.
                      5x was a big disappointment in terms of volume buttons/sim tray. Looks very cheap.
