Good not, in fact great numbers, but does Apple or their shareholders know what to do of all that money? Clearly there isn't so much growth prospect to invest in with all the money they got, unless they diversify a lot.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch: "For the fourth quarter of 2015, Samsung's mobile division had $21 billion USD in sales, down 4.9% year-over-year and 6% sequentially. Operating profits amounted to $1.85 billion, up 13.8% year-over-year, but a 7% decline from the prior quarter. For all of 2015, the mobile division rang up $87 billion in sales for the year with operating profits of $8.5 billion. That is a 7.3% drop in sales from 2014, and a 30% drop in profits. "

Apple Hasn’t Experienced This for the Last 13 Years, but It’s Bracing for It Now
                      Jan. 26, 2016 5:27pm Oliver Darcy

Story by the Associated Press; curated by Oliver Darcy.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Apple is bracing for its first sales decline in 13 years, despite selling a record 74.8 million iPhones in the final three months of 2015.

The giant tech company issued a sales forecast that says revenue could fall at least 8.6 percent during the January-March quarter, compared with a year earlier. Analysts say the latest iPhone models are selling reasonably well, but they’re not providing the boost Apple needs to match the massive sales growth it enjoyed last year.

The company inched past its previous record, established when it sold 74.5 million iPhones in the holiday quarter of 2014. But its forecast implies Apple doesn’t expect to match the 61 million iPhones sold in last year’s January-March quarter.

Apple counts on the iPhone for two-thirds of its revenue.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2016Look how apple lies http://nr.news-republic.com/Web/Articl... moreA few years ago they said on engadget (That famous nest of apple vipers.) that apple had 120 billion in loose change and they didnt know what to do with it, but they wanted to buy back shares. Well why would apple share holders want to buy back shares from apple share holders ? Maybe, try this. Release the i5 with scratches, new in the boxes, drop share prices, advise poorly advised ordinary people to sell because apple shares are falling, then, the big greedy animals who organised it buy the shares, enter China and wam, not only do all the shares go up for the NEW owners, but all the Chinese profits now belong to a small pot of people.
De ja vu, release news (on bbc last night.) about poor iphone sales (Conspicuos by its absence, the deliberate non mention of India..dont want shares accidently rising yet now do we.), shares drop, big evil animals whi engineered it buy cheap shares back, release suppressed info now and,......wam shares back up and...into India, all the proffits now going to the new owners.
All engineered and chochiriograp and fabricated with one end..greed. Now maybe, you know
the reason behind j ives pathetic patronisic pretend half laugh in his videos as he tells you that you kniw all apple are interested in is your user experience. Why as he grins here that tim crook comfortably knows about his firm stealing( correct me ,that is fraud , isn't it.) 300 million from the money for Italy and its hospitals etc, whilst aatracting small swiftly forgotten and burried media coverage, whilst leaving google to get hammered day after day in the british press. Sorry who owns the media ?
