The phone to compare to is the Blackberry Priv. The security (Privacy) that Priv offers as standard will be a game changer.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2016The most Underrated Company.. Oh please! Two companies that made their fortunes by cheap, crappy consumer products on par with the cheapest of Japanese at even lower prices.

They have absolutely no idea wtf they're doing. They just try something new out each successive year, dump a gazillion devices based on their flagships on the market each year and hope one product sticks! Instead of listening to their consumers and bundling that information into that one perfect device.

As usual, both the S7 and G5 will a riddled with compromises and disappointments. I don;t hold my breath anymore for these guys.

AnonD-278667, 04 Feb 2016Comparing samsung and LG latest phones the note 5m and V10.... moreI've not had any actual hands time with either device unfortunately. I have however spent time with both the S6 and G4, and I have to agree with you.

For me, the G4 at least matched the performance of the S6, it might have taken a couple of milliseconds longer to load app perhaps, but was definitely more fluid when navigating around the UI. Also the memory management on the G4 was miles ahead of the S6, I especially liked a little feature added to the G4 in one of it's firmware updates that allowed you to pin apps to running memory (a great little feature that never seems to get the attention it deserves).

Overall the performance LG were able to get out of the 808 when compared to the much more powerful (on paper) 7420, was indeed impressive.

But I also thought LG did larger screened devices better than most (with the exception of the V10), the G2, G3 and G4 all felt and handled like smaller devices (the G4 less so, but it still wasn't unwieldy), this cannot be said of all other competing devices featuring 5.5inches and higher screens, The Nexus 6P, Iphone 6 & 6S Plus, Xperia Z5P, OnePlus One and Two etc. are all bigger than they need to be in my opinion.

If LG can stick to a 5.5inch screen, with the same body to screen ratio as they have in the past, I for one will be ok with it.

LG is going for full clean kill on Samsung, they know Samsung never learns from its obsessive Apple copying habits. It will have it all:
                                - replaceable battery
                                - SDcard slot
                                - yet another class leading camera

Battery life is only thing LG lags behind against Samsung.

I have no problem with those who want a phablet but I want a phone, so why not have a version of each with the same specs other than screen size and battery size? I have a G2 and that is the ideal size for me, a phone which can still be operated with one hand only, the only way I would have a larger screen is if it was in virtually the same body size. So failing tiny bezels I hope there two sizes of G5, 5 - 5.2" for a phone and 5.5 - 5.7" for a phablet giving choice for the same looks and performance

Reason is that some would want a bigger display and others want a smaller display. That is a fact and LG is SO STUBBORN to ignore it since G3. Look at 6s and 6s+, s6 and note5, z5 compact and Z5 and z premium they come in different sizes with high end specs. Take note LG not all wanted a GIANT phone.

Awesome. Two of the best phones' successors are being announced a day before my birthday. What an awesome treat~

its good to see LG is in now competetion mood....but this has to done much earlier (means when they launch their G2, G3 AND G4).....only LG has that pottencial in their product to compete samsung strongly......they also need to done marketing in aggressive style lyk samsung.....
