So no, I highly doubt the Alu version will be the cheaper one (blame Apple for that).

1. Gorilla glass 4 front and back panel for the expensive one versus gorilla glass 4 front and aluminum back panel for the cheaper version.
2. 4GB RAM for the expensive vs 3GB RAM for the cheaper.
3. 1440p screen for the expensive and 1080p for the cheaper.
4. Possible camera differences - speculations about 13MP, 16MP and even 21MP.
Also its possible to have 2 variants - Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus with different screen sizes - 5.2" and 5.7" for the Plus version.

I would like to know which of these companies released the first Curved Edges smartphone! If you cant find them (seems like you cant because you are talking fictions) I will share them with you - Mi Note, the first curved edges screen by Xiaomi was announced and released January 2015 while the COPY of it the so called Galaxy s6 Edge was announced March And released April 2015. So can You tell me who is copying who and read the TIME LINE more carefully because in this case you are looking like the idiot who released IPad and said that this is the first tabled and it was just a few Years after the actual release of the first Tablet by Microsoft.

A 5.7 screen with 1080p res.. 3 GB RAM with 64 GB storage.. These are some odd mix-ups..
Why not going for a 5.2, FHD, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB storage Mi5 and a 5.7, QHD or FHD, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage Mi5 Plus? This combination makes much more sense..

Iphone 6 plus have 5.5" and 1080p and people buying it like hot bread. The difference here will be 14 DPI which is nothing.. Lets don't talk about how much is 386.47 DPI because you actually have no idea what is DPI when 386.47 DPI is "such low pixel density". You cant even see the difference between 1080p, QHD and 4K on 5-6 inch screen!!! The only way your maximalistic brain will see this difference is the battery life which will be poor on any device with QHD / 4K and 3000 mAh.

5.7 inch must be mi5 plus version. xiaomi mi series is phone and not phablet. it wil be 5.2". i hope phone version comes with dual sim.
