I have medium hands but I am wearing t-shirts and jeans most of the time. I don't have an inside pocket in my T-shirts so I want my phone to fit in my jeans. :)

Also, I think it's waste of money to buy a phone yearly. Why would you need an extra 20% "more" power". for what? for Facebook? for Whats app? for playing music?

I own a iPhone6s and somethings I would like to switch to the iPhone5s only because my current phone it's to big for my hands.... Apple team should think to the customers with small hands ( in special in Asia ) if people would like a bigger phone than I recommend the iPad !!! I really hope that Apple will release a upgrade version of the iPhone5s without cutting corners in terms of specs and performance of course.

If not the answer is simple.....factory brain wash

I love my iPhone 5s with 4" display. Yes, I can afford any phone. No, I don't want a phone with a larger display where you'll need both hands to operate it.

Give us a iPhone 6 compact, please.

The assumptions in the article is spot on.

The argument that it's due to screen size is fallacious. Most of them would be because they don't want to spend money upgrading their phone, I'd say less than 30% is due to screen size, probably less if you remember most of them are probably in developing countries.

Looks believable to me. Demographics in western countries are usually older, and they mostly use their smartphone for calling and casually browsing. And they want it to fit in their pocket without bothering. Just looking at German amazon top 20 sellers, I see half of them are sub 5 inch phones.

as long as it is an Iphone, regular people think it's always better even when it's 3~4 years old.
nope, not bashing apple. I'll pick latest apple than latest samsung flagship anyday if I can afford it. too bad I can't and here I am, stuck on budget phone now

this is because they are not afford to upgrade their phone to the latest one, not because the 4" display was famous. if apple made ip6 screen size back while ip5 n ip5s were released people may choose ip6 screen size over 4" screen, I can guarantee it.

Well, that's some interesting statistics right there. They should survey all companies that hold on to old phones.

Fanboys are a menace to society, attacking anyone who is not like them, because they have the one and only truth. They behave like some countries, and ISIS.

As far as I don't follow apple I like their idea of small factor. I'm positive that if they'll make it with specs similar to standard "6mile" version then they'll sell millions of it. I'm die hard fan of LG and have them all(apart fromV10) but currently aiming for sony Z5 so I could actually keep it in my pocket rather than in a backpack.
"bigger is better"...only dumb women say that!

There's a much bigger factor than the screen size. Many people are not on two-year contracts. Many people don't need to stay ahead of the curve. Many people don't keep up with latest fads. Many people don't feel the need to replace their perfectly functional phone, and choose to use it to the end of its actual life instead.

Not everyone wants to be caught up in this wave of consumerism, which of course by default is subliminally promoted here.
