people always has bad comment on free stuff. I know that 1080p is really bad for the VR thingy but guess that its free so why whine? lets just wait until Samsung releases the PAID VR then lets compare.

It should be at least 5k (4 times the pixels), else the pixels would seem as big as in a 360p phone (if it was a 5k phone, when in VR the pixels would be as small as in a 720p phone, so muuuuch better. Not perfect though, for "perfect" yo need at least 8k ... on a phone)

All the reviews I read about it were great, and I want the technology now. Remember, Oculus Rift, the best technology, has even lower resolution per eye. Getting and using a (praised by all reviewers) technology now for free beats the heck of complaining about it like the fox and sour grapes. Of course, in 5 years Apple will probably have it too. See you then :)

4K non-pentile should be minimum. Or if they insist using pentile, 5K is the minimum, else it's a pixelated mess, like using a ViewMaster or something ... garbage.

The minimum should be 4K on a 5 inch screen for VR to be just about acceptable. That is not even considering pentile matrix.

It's not free for all.
it is the way of market breakethrough...
in economics either first wave is cheap and is accesible to more users and after period is over price levels up.
or product is available for higher price in first period of sale and presale, and after price get lowered fos mass.
Like apple and samsung.....
Apple... first prices of new products are high over sky
pay a fortune if you wanna be first in a row...
6 weeks after .... pay as much as you have in your pocket...35$ yes please
on other side samsung in preorders give lot of accesorise and when thing in no matter of time goes global...they rise prices but not much because product is allready global, now all is on numbers...
