IMX377 is known to be poor Dynamic Range and lack of Optical Image Stabilizer. it will use only EIS which is working good when the camera shutter speed run above 1/125.

Well this come hardly as a surprise. In order to market their camera as "ultrapixel" they need to have the largest pixels on the market... And guess who had the largest pixels on the camera?Google Nexus 2015 line :) it wasn't hard to imagine.Long gone are the days in which HTC could allow custom made sensors, and for mass production sensors this one is the fittest for them. Now lets wait and see how the callibration will be made, thats the other half of the story. But knowing HTC i would'nt like to be too optimstic.
P.S.in any case they'll will had the best 2015 camera on their 2016 flagship ; )

Don't be fooled with the laser autofocus that it will finally being a decent camera on an HTC phone.
I felt for their lies and went ahead and bought the M9+ supreme camera, and trust me when I say, it is the worst decision I have ever made. The camera will never focus, and if it did, it needs couple of tries and a steady hand.

Now I lol have to live with it because I don't want to lose half of it's price in w less than a week.

Could this be HTC's first actually capable camera phone? Interesting, didn't expect this.

I thought its rear camera sensor gonna be OmniVision's new sensor. Don't get me wrong , Sony sensors are amazing but OmniVision truely made this one out of impossible.

Anyway, will have the final equipment, new HTC will be more appreciated and sold, than the series 7 of the Samsung..:))

Wow! about time HTC! well, that's is good news, as a professional photographer, I can confirms it's a darn good sensor, as long as HTC doesn't totally blow the software and image processing they're finally in the clear

Sounds great, sadly no front facing speakers, or water resistance, I guess I'll have to wait for Sony Z5+/Z6, I really want a SD820 device but no one offerse the same grade of featureset as Sony. Sadly all manufacturers always check almost all boxes.
