Does HDR mean you don't get the full size image? This image is just about 15 MP, not 26MP. And of course this shot is taken in direct sunlight. Show me what it looks like at night, like maybe a full moon.

james, 13 Feb 2016I am a xiaomi user particularly on mi3, I have no complains... moreMain thing I look for in a phone is stability and performance really, so it's good to know that xiaomi is doing well there. Not too interested in camera personally, and if there is external storage I could live with as low as 16gb, but would prefer more (which is available usually).

I am a xiaomi user particularly on mi3, I have no complains in build quality, software updates, but biggest issue with xiaomi is a very annoying storage capacity, if you want bigger capacity its very hard to obtain one. Camera quality also on mi phones are average,they are top notch at good light but sometimes below average at low light. even the latest phone from xiaomi. huawei is good at low light compared to xiaomi.

not a good advertisement for me, we all know that most of phones capture good photos with ricj detail for that type of lighting condition. they must test it on low light. A flagship is defined to have all the current best tech available. This mi5 is nonsense if the storage is small, battery is small, call quality is not good, weak radio, and more importantly software updates.

People saying it doesn't show enough, we don't know about low light but they posted decent stills of a bird in flight a few days ago which means decent at least decent autofocus.

Plenty of detail? with just a Green colour ? i can use my Lenovo Vibe P1 snap a Grey colour cement wall with plenty of detail too. try snap a human who is walking or inside the shopping mall. then said its plenty of detail.

There was no comparison, but after checking phothos of note4,note5,Z5 I do not see it being special. It may be because of hdr, if he wanted to show us more details he would capture without-hdr as with hdr are some details lost. Also being able to capture plenty of detail in low light is what the best phone-makers are trying to advertise. So really, what did he try to accomplish...?
