the gear s had a sim that you installed manually, the gear s2 has internal sim card that is already installed that can not be removed, the gear s2 classic has an esim which will be the first of any kind. an esim is looking to come out in smart phones soon, it automatically carrier locks once you set up service with a carrier directly. so you buy the phone unlocked.

      1. The Gear S2 classic (3G) is not the first Samsung watch having 3G capabilities, the Samsung Gear S, had previously that function, but with a sim card. It was sold at Bestbuy and at many stores. This watch was unlocked as a phone.
      2. The Samsung Gear S2 sold at (T-Mobile*, ATT* and Verizon*) were the second ones having 3G, but with an e-sim.
      3. Finally the new Samsung Gear S2 Classic sold at (*) will have an e-sim.
Note: The Samsung Gear S2 (classic or not) sold at Bestbuy at this moment, offers only a link via Bluetooth, with the phone to function and has no sim er e-sim. It has no built-in microphone, so you use your phone to talk. Can we hope they will have the new Samsung Gear S2 (3G) Classic unlocked ?

I would like you would be more explicit in your comments!
      Serge

Wait a second, I thought the Gear S2 3G already has this? But the Gear S2 Classic 3G is the first? Confused.

And that you can see the darlings fans of the Samsung's, that they are impartial, when you make reference to this company, i admit that this time are on the right way and they did something beautiful.
            But why all...cry ..?..:)))
