It absolutely obliterated ios performance. Ios only seems fast in low ram situations because it pauses most apps in the background, in high ram situations it's veeery much slower...
Try it! Install remix OS to your pc, and see it shaming iOS...

Android apps have a far larger ram footprint (in the long run). 6GB should had been the flagship amount of 2016. OEMS people's misunderstanding of ram's role and filled their phones with cheap 4GB.
This Vivo would be faster than everything out there. Ram in phones is more important than CPU performance (phones serve data to the user, they don't process most of it).

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2016Guess the 6gb ram it is not needed at the moment.. But its ... moreWhat does that even mean? Android is not windows. In Linux subsystems the more ram you give it the more they will use creating a ram disk with your most frequently used apps over time (a ramdisk of sorts).
Of course it's need if you need an extra responsive phone. It will literally kill the 4GB phones even if they have better Socs simply because all your most important apps would be cached in ram.

6GB is far motor important to android than it is to PC. Simple: android uses all of it (it caches apps over time), pc only uses only what it needs at the time.
A phone typically needs that ram more than a pc because it is always on (people rarely reboot) and serves data to the user. It's a mini server and servers neeeed ram.
If I had a dime everytime people misunderstand ram and think a set amount is enough I would be rich.
Finally a company that gets it and creates a true flagship performance wise! Everything else would kinda feel like last year compared to this phone's performance RAM >>>>>>> SoC in android phones....
