T800 is a model series.

P20 has 2-core T880 running at 900 MHz. It's a low range performance with excessive for its performance power consumption, as it's extremely overclocked. Just 60 GFLOPS in half-precision (FP16).
X20 has 4-core T880 running at 780 MHz. That's low-to-mid performance 106 GFLOPS.
X25 has 4-core T880 running at 850 MHz. That's quite slow as well. Just 116 GFLOPS.

Exynos 8890 has 12-core T880 running at 650 MHz. That offers mid-to-top range 265 GFLOPS in FP16.

Kirin 950 and 955 have 4-core T880 running at 900 Mhz. That offers Low-to-mid range 122 GFLOPS in FP16.

        In this case it is the same if you have mt cpu or snapdragon. If real racing uses 6cores and lots of ram in gpu and phone i know some chipsets will fail or overheat, but if you use S7,G5 or any other Sn820 phone just to have it out of a whim, i think it is pointless.
        Overall in 1 year time Sn820 will be obsolete, just as it is going to happen to 810, regardless how good Adreno 430 is.
        I just bought G4 and i like it very much, the design is good, keyboard is bigger, which enables me easier typing...i know majority of people are divides in two clans. Those who goes for design and those who goes for hardware. Im neither of this two. So maybe i have hard time understanding why would people opt for such phones.

                          Anonymous, 22 Feb 2016Mediatek SoC's are like AMD FX-6300 with AMD Radeon R7 250.THANK YOU!!

                          That's the PERFECT analogy!! I was thinking of a way to analogize the two chipset makers to something non-mobile, and that's it!! Well done my friend!!

                          Qualcomm = Intel
                          MediaTek = AMD
                          TIOMAP = VIA

                          Before anyone gets upset that I didn't take into account that Intel does in fact make mobile chipsets, the reason I'm not counting Intel as a "mobile chipset maker" in this comparison is due to the fact that they have such a small percentage of the mobile market share, and what they do have is mostly tablet processors as well as Asus' phones. That's hardly enough to count them as a major influence regarding the mobile world. That's not to say they wont be a force in the future, but for now, let's just deal with the obvious.

                          Also, the above comparison speaks strictly of PROCESSING. I know better than to get into the GPU debate.

                          ;-)

                            They thought it the perfect this time around folks at MediaTek. On the old A53-cortex to bring many improvements of the new chip-set, with speeds of up to 2.3 Ghz, will do to decrease energy consumption and to increase productivity. The benefits will be apparent to those firms that will make phones for consumers with low budgets.

The only reason to have eight cores in a mobile processor right now is for efficiency, as mobile processors can't really multi-thread anything. Meaning, mobile processors aren't capable of utilizing all their cores, and most applications don't even take advantage of more than one or two. If Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 820 is efficient enough, it doesn't need eight cores.

                                    Okay im convinced that adreno 530 will be a beast but dunno how will it pair with quad core. Maybe octa core will bring more out of mali 880 than sn820 out of adreno 530.
                                    Exynos in s7 has 114k antutu, so real staf in sn820 is going to be adreno 530.
                                    I thought that p20 will be excellent but it seems it cant do much. Although it is gonna be much cheaper.

                                      SD820 is better @ single core and GPU while exynos win on MultiCore
                                      in raw GPU performance, Mali-T880 MP12 has 285.6 GFLOPs while Adreno 530 has 588 GFLOPs. of course the real performance will be depend on many other factor, ie CPU performance, ram, throttling etc
                                      also, samsung only put MP12 instead maximum MP16, so samsung not really put the best out there
