Microsoft Lumia 650 hands-on

23 February, 2016
Microsoft planned a rather modest presence at MWC 2016, without any spectacular announcements or technology demos, like many of its competitors. Still, the US giant was kind enough to bring the recently-announced Lumia 650 to the venue, which gave us the perfect opportunity for a first hands-on impression.

It's good, affordable and nice design. Microsoft have to release more this type of premium looking handsets.

I am very disappointed with Microsoft. Being an owner of three Microsoft branded phones todate. The main disappointment is in the delay to upgrade Windows 10 for now a year of blank promises. For instance Lumia 640 was released as a Windows 10 ready device last year, and now we are having a newer model to replace Lumia 640! Shame, shame Microsoft. You have let down your loyal customers and fans. For those who remember the past well, Microsoft did let us down when we purchased Windows 7 Mobile phones that could not be updated to Windows 8 mobile. With Windows 8 we thought software updates will be rolled out seamlessly to all devices the same way Apple does, Microsoft did not learn a lesson, then and they haven't now again. Microsoft should blame itself for killing Windows mobile. You have an excellent software, killed by your terrible planning and treatment of customers. sad.

The 650 looks a lot better than the 950 and 950XL. What a shame.

The Lumia 650 has a better camera set up, a thinner, lighter, and more premium design, more internal storage. If you're talking about the processor, the Snapdragon 212 is actually a better CPU performer than the Snapdragon 400. The Snapdragon 400 has a slightly more powerful GPU though. Oh, I'll give you the bigger battery though. The Lumia 640 should get better battery life.

It's a biggest flop spec mobile, 640 is much better, main regrets is windows 10 upgrade, to 640, all others in spite of promises, now it's too late all interest has finished. I think there is really wrong, with Windows 10 inside out.
