just my opinion , 23 Feb 2016you must not be a android user that's for sure!! My job is an android tester for the last 2 years. I actually know how android works.

Stop the fud and *ask* more ram from OEMs, it's far more important than SoC performance (unless you game a lot).

so far this is the best explanation why the antutu score in 3D section reach 68k.
1080 (FHD) must be the resolution.
compare to QHD galaxy S7 which score 38k in 3D section.

Simple: Android uses caching, which means that if you had 12gb ram your phone would be a looot faster than if it has 6gb. Imagine all your apps being stored in ram at most times, imagine how much faster would be.

Of course 4gb is enough, but 6gb is a loot faster.

This is a flagship phone, it's *supposed* to be fast. I laugh at those buying 4gb "flagships", so 2015...

Oooooowww - looks curved at the top and bottom edges instead of the sides.
Now that might be a stroke of genius considering we swipe down for notifications.
Would be useful to see on screen edge notifications when the phone is in a sleeve-like case from the top.
                                  Interesting
                                  I love innovation :)

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2016Future proofing is good but take into account the percentag... moreSay that to the people who still uses an HTC HD2 and running every OS imaginable.

If you have a great phone, people will keep it for awhile. Unless you're part of the iphone sheeps, nobody is dumb enough to waste more money out of their own free will if they don't see the need for it. Be it if you're poor or a millionaire, everything has a value and only until the item no longer possess an inherent value to the user will they then upgrade. Having a future-proof not only instill confidence in said company, but it's also build the trust between the company and its users.

Take a look at this phone and sayy...for instance, the LG G5. Look at that ugly phone with gimmicky add-on vs. the premium look and feel of the XPlay5 both inside and out. You can't tell me with a straight face that you'll use the G5 for more than 6mos because you're too ashamed to show off that phone in public and would probably put a case on it. Now look at the XPlay 5, it exudes confidence and presence with the internals to back it up for years to come.

Future-proofing goes far more than just using a phone longer than the next iteration comes out, it builds a relationship and add value between the consumer and the company.

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2016Future proofing is good but take into account the percentag... moreI hear you, not necessarily agree with it completely. Agreed on many handsets not reaching 2 years lifetime, but there would be few people who continue to use them for more than 2 years. For them, it is definitely useful. Also, your phone would not slow down due to major OS upgrades due to lack of RAM even after 1 year.

Also the additional cost for extra 2GB RAM might not be that high anyway, so the majority of customers (who change their phones within 2 years) don't get impacted significantly cost-wise (specifically due to RAM), still get better multi-tasking capabilities as benefit. Just my thoughts.

based on pic it looks like vinyl audio quality, I wonder....
