Samsung Pay adoption is growing much faster than Apple Pay did

A new report from Bloomberg has reported that Samsung Pay is being adopted very quickly compared to Apple Pay did when it first launched. “Samsung has signed up 5 million users and processed more than $500 million in transactions since debuting in the U.S. in September.”

    Yes any phone with NFC can do wireless transactions via Google / Apple pay or credit card apps. I too use a CIBC credit card app for payments where NFC terminals are available.
    This is MST technology that works with ANY magnetic strip machine terminals but is ONLY available on the latest Samsung phones due to the additional hardware inside.
    HTC, LG Sony etc do NOT have the hardware to support this. Why would other manufacturers be capable of a payment system names after their competitor! Haha!

          FYI this article is talking about adoption, meaning usability. Not how many users use it.

You can walk in any store that takes cards and pay with Samsung. You cant with Apple. the stores has to support Apple pay.

                    People with android all know how to work very on smartphones when something new out they know how to use it right away.. People with iPhone all they know play some easy games call text and email. Most of iPhone user are cheap people the reason they buy iPhone for resell easy and not to loose much money from iphone they not care about technology.

                          Only thing missing is integrated loyalty cards. Then it can truly replace your wallet. And getting on to loyalty systems would actually be easier because you don't need to wait for a card to be delivered to you and stuff.

                          I'd say, one or two years for Samsung lay to really hit it off, and soon after that, if not during, we will get loyalty cards integrated into it.

But I think Samsung has been thinking about expanding it to other phones, but again, they'll need the hardware which makes it difficult.
