Read some documentation, th... moreLies, although not as much as iOS. android do natively use GPU hardware to "window compositing" especially animation/transition. we can also activated GPU to render stuff even 2D from developer option. stop spreading nonsense.

maybe most of people don't know the cpu,gpu or ... and just get the mobile for FB,whatsapp and camera and .... but after many times or when compare their phone with other(s7/s7 edge or htc m10) they will see their phone is weak against other flagships. they can pay the same price for others and have FB,camera and ... too but they will have more speed,no lag and also better experience with s7/m10 and that's what they will cut off from lg.and I hope so.maybe lg will fixes these decisions when see people prefer get other flagships....

But your right, the 418 wasn't really up to qhd gaming, so this new 510 will should also struggle.

Most people buying phones don't buy them to play 3d games (that's why consoles exist). There is a minority of hardcore gamers on mobiles, the rest are casuals, and if you're a cas' you can put up with any kind of performance, especially if you only play 2d scrollers where the performance is perfect even in low end phones.

The GPU is actually the most useless of all. Just sitting there and only seeing action in very few games.
So unless you're a gamer stay the hell away fro SoCs with good gpus, they waste a huge amount of space just to sit there...

This is great news. Everyone wants the look and feel of a flagship, but now that chipsets are getting more powerful there's less need for the most expensive model. Next year, 830, 660, and 430. Yes, three chipset options. Maybe three sceen resolutions too. 1440p, 1080p, 720p!

Also the screen's at qhd resolution which is going to be more taxing. Whoever buys these eh I hope they know what they're getting.

Lg used to lack in the power management compare to other flagship.... Hope this year with the G5 they can overcome their weakness....

I like the idea that a flagship model get lower processor model.... I think there is a niche market, for people who wants all the feature in the flagship model, but doesnt need the blazing fast speed of the top range model.... This is interesting
