I was talking about the freedom and the features that Android offers over other OSes. It offers tones of customizations that other OSes can only dream about. In short, Android is superior to all other modern OSes.

Super LCD is just a marketing term, which means a high quality IPS panel. Safe to guess that Super LCD 5 is likely to feature some latest LCD technologies similar to IPS-NEO.

Can't go down in screen size after having my note for 3.5 years now.
5.5" minimum for me - in as small a body as possible.
We're doing more and more with our phones these days - 5" is just not gonna cut it.
I'm not interested in things like dual speakers that increase the bezel sizes. I can understand their preference for gamers, but other than annoy neighbors on public transport, I'm more interested in the quality of the headphone output.
This phone seems like a good step in the right direction for HTC & is another example of giving customers what they want / practicality of use etc.
Just release a larger screen version and STOP DELAYING HTC!! Hurry up before your customer base give in to Sammy & LG etc

If you look at statistics android is based on linux which wipes the floor with windows & ios for security. It can only get hacked if the person using it authorizes the attack in the first place.

AnonD-517100, 21 Mar 2016I've been an exclusive HTC user, fan, & dealer as well ... moreThe problem for their sales during these times...
The M7 and M8 were exceptional phones, and still represent, for many, the perfect phone.
They were svelte and stylish, fast and capable,.. and after a year or two on the market; cheap!

Most users with M7s still haven't upgraded.
These parts are 'to last', and buyers are waiting till they need to replace.

Hence the HTC loyalists... Quality, and sometimes even, reliability. Their software front end is neat, their thought for layout and usability is strong (these were developers of the 'smartphone' generation).

So, yeah so low times for shareholders,... But hold in there HTC, ultra pixel cameras are gaining consumer recognition.
Stick to it HTC; your loyal will charge in, others will, in turn, follow.

Less outings with win phone, more mid tier and entry level 'premium parts' please!

ethereal, 21 Mar 2016What do you mean? Android is not a premium OS? Android IS a... moreAll the OSes have strengths and weaknesses.

Whilst Android is a great OS, and one that suits my style most (it's open nature and techies wishes to do everything, being its strong suit, for me), I would hardly call it a premium OS.

It would be nice to get some clarity as to what the poster meant...

But whilst I think WinMobile is a joke, I can think of a few metrics whereby iOS and WinMob would show clear pedigree over the 'free'OS, Android.

The problem is without the qualifier/quantifiers in place, ever persons personal take could be well argued.

App Store size, putting android and iOS on top (user base, market share, etc would also make win phone a 'non starter'). I would suggest the posters take on this situation has Android hampered by its inability to roll out security updates properly. (Nexus devices being the exception).

Competition is healthy, glad win mobile may soon benefit from (relatively) easy porting of iOS apps.
Will help it a lot, no doubt

                                      I like your idea though.

Pretty costly to implement though. My first always on display type device was a Winphone, that even had the 'double tap screen to wake' feature.
I recalled thinking at the time just how much more practical it would have been, if using an OLED.
In fairness that device had an ultra responsive screen, both being used with gloves, and in terms of update speed.
Reducing air gap, lowers reflectance, and increases brightness, which aids in conserving battery.
I would happily take any cutting edge tech screen , even though I AM a fan of Sammys AMOLED (and colour profile).
SuperLCDs do a few things well/better than OLED, and I defer to HTC designers who more often than not get it perfect! (Well thought out and well implemented tech)

                                        The phone looks good.
The sound is going to be crystal clear.
The battery and screen are improved.
The camera is supposed to be very good.
