AnonD-472910, 25 Mar 2016i think ips is betterand why do you think so??? an amoled can be the brightest as well as the deem-est, can have infinite contrast, as well as most accurate colors ( s7 edge ).. have better sunlight visibility, are slimmer , and more energy efficient, can have always on display, better viewing angles, can be given any shape, requires no back lighting, faster response time , and now cheaper to produce.... can you justify why ips is better?

I prsonally like LCDs more. Not because i like apple, I hate apple, but LCDs are just brighter, with better whites and more realistic colors while SAMOLED are kinda oversaturated and such a high contrast that it hurts in the eyes.

so their cheaper than lcd's,I don't care,their still horrible in-accurate displays,usualy over blown reds,I've looked at some of the new generations of supposedly more accurate amoled displays and although not as bad as they used to be,many are still far from good,I will keep buying devices with lcd's as I prefer to have the compromises with lcd's than the compromises with amoleds...
But that's just my opinion,possibly because I have always had and still have near 100-100 eyesight,and have near perfect true colour vision,possibly from having two high quality printers in the family as a young boy and being exposed to true colours on a regular basis....

All of this talk. Don't forget Samsung made SuperAmoled not Amoled. Amoled mostly made by LG Display. Btw, Amoled display will never be replaced back to LCD. One reason we have been using Amoled is because it is thinner and this allows for a slimmer design in smartphone. It is also flexible. Do you think you would see S7 edge with unflexible LCD display? Screen burn-in is usually witnessed at the store selling smartphone because it display the same interface all day long for their entire promotion period on the counter. No surprise there. If you keep changing stuff around the home screen and regular wallpaper changed it would not be a problem. You don't see OLED TV user complain about it everyday.

And Now is plasma ,who is gone.
Amoled stille has twice less lifespan than LCD, while LCD advanced in contrast and offers better colors.

Tim Cook said their IPS is more accurate than Samsung's AMOLED, that is just flat-out lie. GSMarena have proven this already.

Both have... moreIpS screens are more natural in display. Amoleds are more bright and colourful, but that looks more artificial.
Also IpS lcds are bot troublesome for eyes.
Amoleds are direct light producing diods so harm eyes easily.
