This guy don't deserve CEO position in a smartphone company. I am not saying that he is not qualified. A CEO of a smartphone company should have minimum knowledge smartphone. OS. Just watch this video what I mean.

Chen, 08 Apr 2016Adjusting the price tag is the first point noted in the art... moreyes they will adjust, but, how will they adjust is the question i am wondering; if we look at the Priv now, they just adjusted it, but with $50 off, it still overprice (compare to the other choice such as g5, S, note, nexus ....)

I currently use a BlackBerry for security at work purposes.. I would like an upgrade with a keyboard but if the specs are a downgrade from the q10 then I will not spend more money just for a new phone. Atleast make it an upgrade in specs so people using older devices do feel like a new purchase is worth it. Android itself is not enough to entice me away from the current device I'm using.

Right now all of that "premium" left, is just the price tag. It's your opinion, and I can respect that, but at this moment a lot of people would easily choose LG, Huawei or any other decent brand over Samsung or Apple (myself included). Price became a huge selling factor, Apple discovered that this year with IPhone SE, Samsung will find out about it soon.

I can't believe BB still sells phones. I'm sure there's always a tiny market for BB. However, I don't see how midrange phones will change there current downward trajectory.

Well...look, how can you ask for $700, when the company making this phone crashed and burned? They were coming out of the shadows, also making a new steps into bigger screens, new OS etc. I really don't understand business strategies of most companies these days, the reason dictates, that you make a "come back phone", make it cheaper than the competition, get people interested and then next year come out guns blazing. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I think a lot of brands just got too greedy, not caring much about customers satisfaction, only thinking about the profit. And that's what slowly kills them. I really wish BB well, but they have to think it throughout, because this could be their last shot, before they completely fade away.

Finally someone realises the price is just not right for then. Looking at htc and LG or even Huawei now.

Yes, they offer great phones, but when it comes to premium prices, customers will only go to either apple or samsung, deal with it or you'll die.

in order to aiming for mid range market, BB may need to adjust the price tag, hopefully, BB will not charge us $300-$400 for a SD210/410 with 1 Gb of Ram.
I am expecting SD652, 2 Gbs of Ram for $450 range.
