Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge software update improves touch and stability

My Galaxy S7 downloaded the "Marshmallow" update this week, and just like 2 years ago with the 5.0 "Lollipop" update, it was a nightmare. Last night my phone just died for a few minutes, unable to get it going. Many apps, including texting, no longer have voice function and the auto-correct now alters everything I write. Device is generally slower. Apps now look strange and are much harder to use. Whole device is now much less usable than before update. Was thinking of getting a second S7 phone but that's now on hold.
I don't want to hear that I'm using it wrong, I know how to use my phone. Why can' they just leave well enough alone? I know they have to update the security, but they mess around with the apps so much they are no longer worth using.
Maybe the Google phone is next for me.

I've had my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for quite awhile now since the first time i purchased it. This new software update restarted my phone automatically but the thing is, i don't know if this software update would ruin the phone or improve it..

After upgrade battery goes down much faster. Same apps running but power usage much higher. I would not update your S7 for now.

I believe this is the same update that was pushed via T Mobile over a week ago. Not sure though, so if anyone has gotten a fresh update now, please share.

Overall very Good Phone but with this kind of high cost phone should have zero defects.
Right from First day I facing issue of apps getting crashed most annoying is getting “Unfortunately,com.samsung.faceservice has stopped” reported to samsung solution provided is Factory Reset. I have told them it is reproducible when we go Gallery each time, I expected if I tell the root cause they may fix it with some patch in future. I think this is smart stay feature issue I hope Samsung will take up this issue and work for Fixing it
Even Overheating during charging & Gaming did they miss adding cooling liquid for few phones which was the SP of this Phone?

Had pre-ordered the Samsung galaxy s7 edge and have been using it after changing from Note Edge. The edge screen is similar to Note Edge, i just miss the Stylus Pen. But overall the S7 Edge is a great phone, just had a couple of times when the phone rebooted itself and a couple of times the screen itself was behaving as if some1 is touching. till i had to lock the phone then unlock and to an extent restart the phone. Otherwise the phone is a perfect companion and the best thing about this is the Battery life. It drains very slowly even with heavy usage. Thanks Samsung for this beast

I am sure AT&T will take months to push this update. Its really shame on Samsung that they are letting US carriers to modify their software..
