Tee, 13 Apr 2016I still don't get it with android. They are slow in seeding... moreAndroid is very fast . All nexus phones are getting new versions of android almost immediately.

The rest are using forks of android , that's why it takes them so long to update : Fork = Android + other stuff, as it is expected that other stuff takes up to 6 months to be updated too.

There is really no mystery, I don't know why people complain. You want instant upgrades ? Buy Nexus. You want more stuff than just vanilla android? Buy a non-Nexus, but know that updates will take a bit more time...

        lmao...i mean seriously? =D*
why samsung didnt accidentally update 6.1 to their premium users? having $900 device from samsung and support is ZERO ! google is planning to launch android N and 80% samsung's premium flagship devices are on Lollipop! is that a joke? shame on you samsung.
you will face the same NOKIA and HTC is facing right now, soon.

well I hope that Google people will give android N version 7.0, also because it will coincide with galaxy S7 which is currently fighting and winning battles for android OS, since Samsung is the torch bearer of android OS throughout world. I hope this will be a befitting tribute and a mark of respect to Samsung, the torch bearer of android OS throughout world.

They might as well drop the major/minor numeration scheme altogether since it's become meaningless. Why is 6.0 not 5.2? It's barely distingishable from 5.1.

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2016Odd, thought it would be 6.1, since it is not a major step ... more6 wasn't major step up from Lollipop. Most features gone noticeable with manufacturers' skins. Same thing will happen for Android N for sure.

It's not actually weird jump. If you take number "7" and you turn it upward plus add one line to it, then you get perfect triangle. Number "0" is the all seeing eye.

TP1, 13 Apr 2016This is earth-shattering world events. The cataclysm that ... moreActually, making it 7.0 instead of 6.1 is bad in my opinion, as manufacturers will consider this a big update and will have an excuse about why their devices won't be updated.
I hope it won't be 7.0. Marshmallow barely had updates. It's weird to jump a number without even adding 0.1 .

I still don't get it with android. They are slow in seeding their operating system to phones and looking at the adoption rate of marshmallow at the moment and they are talking of andoroid N
