Fact remains that Huawei got ear... moreThere's no connection between making a nexus phone and getting marshmallow its two different things earlier even Samsung and LG had made nexus devices so why didn't they update all their midrangers you don't understand the fine line between midrange and flagship the mate 8 has got marshmallow already you buy a cheap phone and want marshmallow as soon as possible that's your problem if you want fast updates buy a flagship and the marshmallow sdk is given to all the oems using android at the same time every oem that use android is a Google partner not just the manufacturer that develops a nexus you can't use Google Apps with being a partner and the necessary licenses that's why most of the custom roms don't come with gapps pre-installed get your facts right and next time buy a flagship if you want fast updates and not a budget phone

Fact remains that Huawei got early access to Marshmallow since they became Google's partner with the 6P. If they are no better in providing updates to their lineup compared to other OEMs mean they are just as incompetent. Not saying the others are any better, but saying others are worse is a very lame excuse.

AnonD-428442, 22 Apr 2016If this was other OEMs, it's a good thing that they brought... moreThey get it only for the 6p not all the other phones if you know they have a skin called emui over android which takes a long time integrate with stock android they have to take stock android and customize it for a particular phone the processor which in this case is kirin which has different drivers as compared to the Qualcomm SD 810 on the 6p moreover 6p is a flagship and 5x is a midrange device do you think companies will update their midrange and flagships together most of the other companies like lg Samsung and sony don't even care to update their midrange phones how many of the a,j,etc series phones have got marshmallow update yet at least be happy that huawei are providing something

If this was other OEMs, it's a good thing that they brought Marshmallow update.
But this is Huawei. They are Google partner with the Nexus 6P, meaning they get access to Marshmallow much earlier than other OEMs. It's embarrassing for a company that has become Google's partner to only update their other phones so late when N is coming.
Kinda shows you the commitment of Huawei. They are still in the OEM mindset, only making and selling hardware, and not caring much about software support.
