Looks like an ugly version of the Galaxy s7, and a nicer looking version of the iPhone 6.

The mi5 gets it's design from the mi note Which was the first device to come with a curved back before the galaxy note, not the s7. The s7 and the mi 5 were both announced at mwc and you are here posting rubbish, when did they do copying? Haters are gonna hate.

These Chinese companies don't really know how to respect intellectual property rights. The design of this phone looks really identical to Samsung's Galaxy S7. I hope these Chinese companies will sink in a hole, and never go back up.

Also people from most of the developing countries looks at golden phones as more luxurious goods due to higher prices.

Finally some women, find it more suitable for their fashion choices.

All these curves in Samsung/Xiaomi may be looks nice but grip level is decreased significantly. Phones in such design are slippy as hell

More expensive version gets Ardeno 510, cheaper version gets 530... that doesn't seem right...

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2016this company is absolute copy cat! this device looks like s... moreLol... Hw did u come about that,
1, the mi note did the curved back, which was launched earlier than the Galaxy Note , so who copied who?
2, the s7 and mi 5 was launched at mwc, so when did xiaomi do th copy.
3, the s7 edge has a curved front not the back which is wat the xiaomi did, to me it seems the design was borrowed from the mi note, not the s7,
As a matter of fact it was Galaxy Note that copied the mi note, shame on samy.

Just for the record, there's been no reported incident of someone breaking the mi 5 in their pockets. Why do they do that test anyway? tumble, water, scratch, camera, battery are all real life and practical test and they make more sense than breaking fones, who in world tries to break their fones. Mi sister has had her ifone 6 for close to 8 months and still no bendgate, so tell me, is breaking fones really practical irl.
