AnonD-530428, 28 Apr 2016Haha time is the biggest issue with Sony. Someone with mone... moreLike you said HTC will give you updates on q2. From where I am all Xperia phones have already been updated to Marshmallow except for midrangers but since you talked about M9 which is a flagship you got that coming..Also from where I am HTC has the worst value for money scenario. By saying that let me elaborate. First of all I am from Europe and specifically from Greece where we have to pay the following prices for each device. I'll start with the SD801 devices and I'll give you prices if you wanna buy them now. The Xperia Z2 and Z3 that come with that hardware cost right now 245 euros for the Z2 and 270 euros for the Z3. The One M8 comes in a 330 euros price while Samsung's S5 is at 300 euros. Proceeding with the SD810 both Z3+/Z4 and Z5 cost 320 and 420 euros respectively. Going for the Z5 Compact wil set you back at 335 euros and a Z5 Premium will cost you 510 euros. The HTC one M9 costs 480 euros and the Helio version of M9+ costs 500 euros. For reference I'll tell you that both Galaxy s6 and s6 edge cost 380 and 440 euros respectively while the s6 edge+ costs 520 euros. All these prices are for the 32gb models in order to have a fair comparison. In addition we can get the galaxy s7 at 540 euros and the s7 edge at 620 euros. Back in the time of release I always remember HTCs to cost more than 100 euros more than the Samsung and Sony competitors since we could get the Xperia Z1 at around 300 euros in q2 of 2014 while the HTC one m7 cost the same period 450 euros and it didn't even had SD800 like the Z1. You get how that goes but form where I see it no one here is interested at all for HTC devices and that's clearly because of their prices. You can always get a twice as much better overall phone from what HTC is offering at the time. Jeez you can even go for a newer device on almost same amount of money HTC is selling their devices. Don't get me wrong but even if you like it or not Sony will always be a step ahead of HTC no matter what country, county, state, province or whatever place you like. I hope you get what I mean and if there is sth I am gonna agree for sure is that Sony indeed takes a lot of time to update their phones but as it has already been said I am better off with a delayed and nice working/bugless android version than being the guinea pig of android like Nexus users are. I am not trying to be hostile I am just stating the facts for where I live. It would be nice if you could share your facts about where you live. regards

rayne, 28 Apr 2016speaking of sony..why sony haven't release any mid range ph... moreI don't know if that is a serious question since all Sony and non-Sony fans are mad since MWC for the reason that Sony only announced midrangers and none flagship devices. And don't give me the Xperia X performance bs cuz that's not a flagship at all. It'll hardly launch in Europe and other areas. From where I see it both the XA and X are midrangers with X being a more descent device.

NeMo, 28 Apr 2016I like the design of my M7, I like M8, M9 is also good... f... moreAgree. Problem with m9 was not design. The repeated design just worked as a catalyst while phone had many other issues. The problems with m9 were sd810, poor battery life, worse main camera and irritating naming system. Even I can say that reviewers liked m9 more than s6 in terms of looks, but tens of issues overshadowed it's beauty. And also sSamsungs design was complete overhaul from plastic builts to metal and glass, so it had excitement. But reviewers should compare phones with their competitors rather than their predecessors. Most sites compared z5 with z3+ and said it is not a leap much Forward. And s6 was miles ahead of s5 so said that s6 is best. But z5 was better than s6.
      Better camera
      SD card slot
      Shutter key
      Waterproof
      Hifi sound

Given HTC's recent obsession with design, build quality and audiophile nature, a combination of these and the clutter-free experience of stock android could just give any leading smartphone a run for their money! Awaiting more news on this!

I shall be trading in my 6p and obtaining this beast when it comes out.

As this is coming from a HTC device it may actually mean a GPE edition of the M10 will be easier to port over, so the M10 might be the one to go for ? Decisions decisions.

1.Super lcd or any lcd is far more realistic Than amoled
2.htc sense or stock ui is thrice faster than lagwiz after say few months
3.updates are faster than other custom ui phones
                      4.24bit dac and double OIS.
Only useful thing missing IP68 rating. Htc have IP53 though.
SO HTC OR ANY STOCK UI BASED OEM ARE FAR BETTER THAN GIMMICKSUNG AND MONEYSONY. Sensible mind will prefer security and latest software anyday over features and very slick design.

Someone with money spent on a mobile not gonna wait for a year for an update. And sony is worst when it comes to value for money. The devices u mentioned are highly overpriced than competition. Yes htc do release a lot of phones and don't take care of them that's because they are all different variant with different specs and of course cheaper than main. As far as I know one m9+ one me all will get marshmallow q2. I was talking about value for money proportion jeez sony is no where near. And for common sense z series are no midranger it was top end sony phone.

Boy, am i getting the 5.5" one. The only thing about the 10 i don't like is that they killed the front facing speakers, but that's not going to fly with the higher tier nexus after two years of it being a selling point.
I can't wait to see what it looks like, if it's anything like the 10 but with front facing speakers and an amoled display I'm in from day one! The only thing that will probably be worse in the nexus will be the camera app. If they include controls like in the 10 then that's it, it's perfect. I'm really glad HTC aced it this year with the 10, since the M7 it was a pathetic downward spiral... I hope their lineup makes sense this year. Last year it was just embarrassing.

HTC didn't need to revamp their flagship design totally... moreI like the design of my M7, I like M8, M9 is also good... from my perspective, HTC has issues not with design but with hardware and sometimes with tweaking of software. Otherwise they are good. If they really release next nexus, it will have top notch hardware and larger than average battery. Yes, you can buy model with larger internal memory but there is no battery options available, so...

HTC didn't need to revamp their flagship design totally like Samsung did, because their flagships didn't look like crap to begin with. They changed just enough so that people wouldn't complain anymore about repeating pretty much the same design over and over (wich they did, that's for sure).
Also, it may have been late to the party, but calling the 10 "not worthy of being a flagship"? REALLY? Every single reviewer out there considers the 10 the main contender against the S7 within android this year, and with those specs i don't see why anyone with a brain would call it not worthy of being a flagship.
I swear I'm not on HTC's dime haha it's just that it bothers me when people bash something without any reason whatsoever
