31 May, 2016
Apple will thus change its ways after having come up with big changes every two years recently.

Its ok for me if apple didnt improve or innovate, after and all i am just using it for a basic function like call, sms and wattsapp. But only thing i like to have from apple is that it shold let their user uninstall the blotware that apple is giving in their phone. Why the hell i codund uninstall the default app that i dosent use on my 6s. After using it for more than 7 months i just can say go for android, its good better and customized and in android like lg sony and samsung u also get a better battery.
The battery life of iphone really sucks

sa11oum, 01 Jun 2016This isn't news and it's happening all over the market, not... moreThat is simply not true.

Innovation has started to decline indeed, but apple releasing 3 consecutive phones with barely any innovation is almost insulting. The S7 has plenty of features and changes over its predecessors (cooling system, proper waterproofness - much better than on the s5, ridiculously good battery, brilliant ppi on the screen, improved design on the body, less bloatware, smallest aperture in the world of 1.7, etc).

You can't reinvent the wheel every year, but you can improve and add to the previous models. Apple doesn't do that becuase swamps of teenage girls will buy their phones every year, but other big players on the market do that. Look at Samsung and LG in particular.

It's cute and populist to say "they're all the same, no one innovates!" but the differences are there - as long as it's not apple unfortunately. (I don't hate iphones btw, i just think they are sub-par compared to the competition)...

This is not due to the changed strategy, simply they see there are ways to milk more money without changing anything and that there are plenty of stupid (or just not technologically aware) people who will buy their products without any improvements at all and will never put them to comparison.. like the guy (of gal) below who think that iphone 6s+ cameras are "great" in low light, without comparing to what other cameras does. For some is great to lay in the muddy ditch instead of working and reaching career goals, but that doesn't sets the target for the rest. This reminds me Nokia... which made "great" phones, but become too blind to see that world around them are making even greater phones until it went under.

sa11oum, 01 Jun 2016This isn't news and it's happening all over the market, not... moreClearly you have no clue - do you? There were huge difference between all devices. S5 came loaded with futures which were not well refined... yes S6 took some of those features away, not something I am very happy about sometimes, but I do understand it was necessary . To say there are no huge difference between S5 and S6 one must be blind. First of all huge improvement in screen, WQHD screen was consistently voted "the best ever" and stays as such to the day (4K Sony has more pixels but is worse in any other way). Not only that in same year they launched edge variant, completely redesigned phone from scratch, went away from user replaceable battery and plastic design and made dozen of other huge improvements. That is fair to say there were not much changes from S6 to S7 and majority was just refining and adding features removed in S6, yet Samsung still managed many "firsts" in the phone e.g. completely redesigned camera, custom made in house CPU, UFS2 memory... making S7 proof is as well not a matter of retrofiring R&D from S5, that is completely new phone with different materials and design. Same doesn't count for LG either. I do agree HTC had no major upgrades in 3 year (hence they are going under), Sony never really changed their design so I am not much surprised. But LG, Samsung and Huawei were doing a lot of R&D and great job.

It... moreEven 2-3 year old Android phones had better cameras, so it is not about last year generation. It is about fact crappe is 2-3 years behind... not like 6 month cycle length. Samsung GS6 had better cameras for fact, and I can go as far as saying even S5 had better cameras. 16MP ISOCELL was especially good camera and as well Samsung had not only better pictures, but as well 4K video since Galaxy Note 3. I would say that the most similar design to iPhone 6s + was exactly Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Almost same screen, about the same camera and the rest is really user preference. The difference one was released in 2013 and another in 2015. This clearly highlights that apple is at least 2 year behind.. the least. It would be fair to mention Samsung had AMOLED screen back then and dual digitiser which allowed paper like experience which I consider superior to 3D touch/Force Touch. and etc...

Gorilla might be the most beautiful woman on the planet if she is the last one? That said yes it is "great" in many ways, but there are dozen smartphones with better cameras... starting from 2 years old Galaxy s6, LG G4 and Sony Z3, which all can be had fol half price of 6s plus. I can take nokia 3310 and say it is great phone... yes it is, depends what it is used for and what you compare with it...

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2016Pity because the iPhone is already behind the competition f... moreThe iPhone 7 will get upgrades in the camera department. It's true that low light performance is better on the newer Android flagships but the 6s/Plus are last year's generation.

This isn't news and it's happening all over the market, not just Apple. Innovation has slowed down big time nowadays. If you look at Samsung's S5, S6 and S7, there isn't much difference. I know the materials are different, but what new features did the S6 introduce? It actually removed some from the S5, that were brought back on the S7 (like the SD card). The market was bound to stagnate. Using an S5, Note 4, iPhone 6 plus, etc nowadays are still very good devices. People don't feel the need to upgrade as much as before. All mobile companies will take hits in the coming year(s).
