Performance around 5GFLOPS? So basically similar to R9 390. That's a pretty good price for such a performance. Go AMD! Hope they can push Vulkan further along with their new hardware.

You can obviously see that AMD is desperate, cant make a gpu that even comes close to the 1080, and saying if you buy two it may win with a benchmark heavily AMD optimized (Aots) . Look the only reason AMD was great in the past was because they were able to beat Nvidia and Intel at a lower cost while at the same time offering something that was equal or more performance. This is a Joke who the hell think crossfiring a bunch of cards is a good idea its not. This GPU i am sure will perform like r9 390 or GTX 970. if you want that level of performance just buy one of those cards at least you will be getting a decent cooler, that does not look like an anus and both those cards support VR.

Last time AMD pulled this stunt, Nvidia dropped a $650-700 card down to $500. I hope to see something similar this time around.
      Kudos to AMD! :D

Even if you are a nVidia fanboy you *have* to acknowledge this is an amazing card (hint: this will determine how nVidia prices their equivalent/"better" card).

I really don't see how people fail to see this makes a great argument to get cheaper GPUs from *either* manufacturer. Are they all stockholders of any of these companies?

AnonD-442287, 01 Jun 2016unlike alot of people, i'm not excited for this GPU. why? b... moreWell if you look closely at the specification you will notice that RX 480 has the same specification as the R9 390x but with a smaller 14nm Process. For $200.

So the performance will be the same as the 390x but with lower consumption and lower price tag. Simple as that. http://s33.postimg.org/avvfrpdnz/Screenshot_2.png
And as we all know the 390x had strong 1080p performance over 60 fps.

The result of benchmarks made by "reviews" will always not be as you're results setup.

unlike alot of people, i'm not excited for this GPU. why? because we haven't seen any real-life benchmarks of AAA titles and temperatures of the card under load.
if it does good 1080p gaming on 2016 titles and decent VR, then i'll be impressed by that pricetag.

The problem is the games that don't and you will be stuck playing with a single 200€ card.

"The controversy about the setting of the live benchmarks has been resolved. The differences are due to AotS procedural map generation. This is what has been regarded as the best explanation found in a different site:

Ashes of the singularity uses some form of procedual generation for its texture generation ( aswell as unit composition/behavior to prevent driver cheats) which means that every game session and bench run will have various differences in some details. [...] Obviously, thick layers of snow will reduce apparent detail but that does not mean the scene becomes any easier to render. It's just that one seed looks more complex than the other."
