SD801 is flagship grade while SD615 is a midrange . Sony released marshmallow for a long time now and android N preview is available for Z3 . so check your facts again .

    AnonD-404798, 02 Jun 2016nah this one is better and now is actually almost at the sa... moreNot only does the Xperia Z Tablet Compact 8.0 LTE cost ~$500 (over TWICE the price of the LG G Pad X 8.0), but the Sony slate also has much slower graphics performance due to its old chipset. Also note that GSMArena has some incorrect info: the LG tablet actually uses the newer Snapdragon 617 (with 8 full 1.5Ghz ARM Cortex A53 cores, and an Adreno 405 gpu), not the 615. It also DOES have an IR blaster. Performance is very snappy, making the G Pad X 8.0 a top buy in its price class. It's also much more likely to get Android N than the Xperia Z tab, considering the Sony doesn't even have Marshmallow yet. MTCW.

              AnonD-404798, 02 Jun 2016nah this one is better and now is actually almost at the sa... moreWell you do get the software upgrade (don't know how far the Z3 will go), LG has been pretty up to date on their devices, performance takes a hit but not all that much. If you do find on the same price then go for it, but it could be harder to find it that much cheaper in some markets (here for example stuff simply don't lower in price, almost at all. At best 25%).
