I'll give you an hint: never underestimate the convenience of "pre-installed" or "the default".

I wonder how many people actually use iMessage. I mean really, with so many other messaging services being multi-platform (Whatsapp, Line, WeChat, Viber, Kakao, FB Messenger, Telegram, etc etc), people that want to have low-cost cross-platform messaging service would've opted for the other solutions mentioned above.

"But there is no monetary gain in bringing iMessage to Android."
Wrong! Expect to pay a monthly subscription fee (> 5 USD) to use the service if Apple ever brings this to Android. You surely don't think they'd do this for free do you? They're not that stupid.

It's not as good as Whatsapp, but the thing is that it's pre-installed on all apple products and it works rather well. Convince above all.

Bringing iMessages into android will simply make those worthless the way it did with blackberry messenger. God have mercy on Apple

Btw iMessage can do much more than Whatsapp. Gotta use it to know about it.

Also this guy that is going by the name Eske Rahn has been bashing iPhone for years and now he is saying he is on constant lookout for a better device. There is no Android phone better than his years old iPhone? And still he is not satisfied with it. Double standards?

But indeed it is my only aPple product. I had positive opinion about their products until I actually bought one. Their hardware is OK, but the OS is horrible...
Unfortunately it is still the least bad compromise for my requirements for a phone. But I'm on constant lookout for something else.

Eske Rahn, 10 Jun 2016Imessage was one of the first things I turned off... Why w... moreHmmm maybe you do not have a Mac, or an iPad.

For me here is why iMessage is good:

With iMessage enabled / continuity, you can send / receive sms from your iPhone to your Mac. Extremely useful on OTP authentication.

And when you have multiple iPhones with diff mobile numbers, you get them all in 1 app. And all your messages regardless of iMessage or SMS are delivered, no need to change applications.

But if you only have an iPhone and surrounded in Windoze PC world / or sharing your Apple ID with other people, sharing iCloud.. it makes your life extremely miserable.. haha all your messages is seen by the person you sharing with.. i guess thats what you are angry about :). But if you are worried about security.. relax man.. no one will worth the time hacking you.. your not worth it.
