Herodroid, 03 Jul 2016i would hope if these are just rumours or fake, because 32/... moreSame thing happened with the 6P mate, being a vanilla device it is a lot lighter than oem models.

I suppose google just thinks it's enough.

i would hope if these are just rumours or fake, because 32/128 gb is just insane, why not 64/128??
Also if they will use "old" (now we can say so) sd820, then its again... sad to buy outdated soc smartphone, why cant they put latest soc in a smartphone?,

Others i am not that into as i already see its 4 gm ram, 5.5 qhd which I so much want for an ugrade from Htc m8 . This is all great!

Nice phone, I only wished Sailfish had the same battery capacity as Marlin, 2770mAh isn't enough but 3450 is just about right.

Anonymous, 02 Jul 2016Why would it? No nexus has ever claimed best flagship by p... moreThe Nexus One out classed all other phones at the time. Even the iPhone. It was also the first smartphone to use active noise cancellation, with the Audience chip, which Apple later copied in the iPhone 4 (sadly no one uses the industry leading Audience chip anymore). And the Nexus One was an early adopter of the AMOLED screen.

The Galaxy Nexus was also a true flaghip phone.

It was actually a later development that Google stopped trying to have the Nexus phones outperform all other phones. That started with the Nexus 4, when they opted to sell almost top specs and a lower price.

But originially the concept of the Nexus phone was to put all the best hardware of the time in it, as a showpiece for Android, and to push other manufacturers to adopt the best technology (hence being the first smartphone to use active noise cancellation--which did in fact help push the technology into the market).

Google has just changed the purpose of the Nexus phone over time. Now it's more of a phone that needs to be good enough, close enough to top specs, for developers to work on. And good enough to please Androids most geeky fans, so they continue to promote Android.

Nexus, 02 Jul 2016No, this is a phablet. All phones with a 5,5" screen or big... moreDamn shame though, I will have to switch back no non-Nexus if nobody makes a decent-sized follower for my Nexus 6. :/ Going back to smaller phones isn't really a reasonable choice for me.

Anonymous, 02 Jul 2016Didn't the rumors say this is going to be a small one, only 5.5"?Both are rumoured to have almost the same specs, but the smaller one (5 inch) is codenamed Sailfish
The bigger is codenamed Marlin (5.5 inch)

SD820 should be 2.15 Ghz and not 1.8 Ghz. I can't believe that HTC opted for a lower clock speed for a Nexus device.

They need to make it about £400

I'm glad that manufacturers have finally learned that the group of people that want big phones is smaller than they originally thought.

AnonD-469228, 02 Jul 2016Htc high quality built Vanilla Android. Who wouldn't say noDon't you mean "who would say No"? It is either the "Marlin" or the Moto Z Force. Roll on September.....

Knowing HTC it will feel premium. But I'm not about to change my HTC A9. It's the best feel in hand device. No question about that. However, I am glad it is not Samsung, simply because the shops are full of Samsung and they basically look all the same.

Have had enough of overpriced, compromised HTC devices,I stayed loyal from their pre HTC days, but no longer, they go further downhill with every device but their price always stays too high..
My next device will be a cheap Chinese one, something like umi super..
+ I refuse to have any device without an sd card slot..
