AnonD-317621, 17 Jul 2016Nice avatar you got there...Yeah thank you.

BoyNextDoor, 19 Jul 2016Alright then. If you do buy the Note7 please publish it's d... moreYou can follow me at Flickr. My latest summary after 119 charge cycles of the Note 3's 10,000mAh battery, and S7 Edge after 63 charging cycles: https://flic.kr/p/Kfi21w
Mr. T is actually following me there. I tried going back to the 6800mAh extended batteries for a few days... it's 3 hours short of my usual 16-hour use period (the way I use it). I'd have to switch to the second one before the commute home. So, it's 10,000mAh all the way from now on.

I usually wait 1 to 2 months to see in-depth reviews before committing $850. That amount is $500 shy of a Surface Pro I want, and I make sure that something like water-resistance failure, or S Pen silo design flaw are not there.

For battery, I have detailed recording of the wife's S7 Edge performance, and if endurance results of GSM Arena are the same with the Note7, then it just means the battery is designed for the regular Joe. I really hope a lot more people will realize having thin phones are silly.

If you do buy the Note7 please publish it's detailed battery life and Degradation. Do you have any websites where you publish these results? Because I am really into battery life and endurance......

BoyNextDoor, 19 Jul 2016Hi Neighbor, I know that you want a significant upgrade ... moreI know all that. Note 3 has 32GB internal, by the way. I know how the S Pen is better, but not so significant in actual feel. I think the Note.5's S Pen is even slightly better.

This i enjoy unique to the Note 3: Hover View (finger); micro USB 3.0; thermometer. I don't see or feel any significant PPI difference for the screens. No point. Even my wife's S7 Edge with even a smaller screen with 1440p resolution has no significant wow factor for me - I keep reminding myself that the Note 3 only has 1080p, and yet there is no significant change for me.

Three of my colleagues have Note 4s, and I absolutely do not see or need to have higher PPI. I mean, I use the Surface 2 with a 10" screen with 1080p - and I DON'T see the pixels even at .3M. What more with a 5.7" 1080p. No point.

The biggest problem now is being able to find a sealed brand new Note 4. Shops don't carry it anymore.

S7 Edge's camera performance, however is tempting me to get the latest Note.

The.N.EI.G.H.B.O.R., 19 Jul 2016Number one reason for a Galaxy Note is the S Pen. I need it... moreHi Neighbor,

I know that you want a significant upgrade over Note 3 but I do believe Note 4 is a significant upgrade over Note 3. Let me list out 12 points why it is good especially for fellow power users like us:

          1) Removable battery: Note 4 is the latest and most probably the last Samsung flagship to have it. In fact the last hope for a good new flagship with removable battery is the LG V10 successor.

2)Battery Life: Note 4 has the most highest endurance rating of any Note. And it is also incredibly efficient despite having a 1440p screen.
          Note 4:- 90h 3G Talk-28.5h Web-11h Video-18h
          Note 3;- 75h 3G Talk-18h Web-9h Video-13h
          Note 5:- 85h 3G Talk-28.5 Web-10.5h Video-14h

Very clearly note4 trumps the others in battery efficieny, especially in Video.

          3) Note4 has QHD screen over Note3 FHD. Futureproof your device, and enjoy clearer text and videos.

          4) You said S-Pen was important for you to draw. Note 4 has 2048 pressure sensitivity points while Note 3 only has 1024. Note 4 has been praised for almost real paper-pen precision writing.

5)The Note5 neither has infrared, nor microSD, nor FM Radio. Worst Note of all times. Note7 is only expected to improve upon the MicroSD. While Both Note 3 & nOTE 4 has infrared, microSD & removable battery. Only thing lacking is FM Radio. Note 4 has many other sensors too over the Note 3.

6)Note 4 has fingerprint scanner. It also has those fitness tracking goodies, if u and your wife are into that sorta things.

7)Note 4 has the same awesome 16MP Sony Sensor as the S6 and Note5 series and takes just as good pictures (if not better due to it's sharper processing). It's camera has been highly praised and is a good upgrade over the 13MP note3's. Selfie cam is also upto 3.7MP with f/1.9 aperture. Also unlike Note3, Note4 has Optical Image Stabilisation.

          8)Note 4 has Gorilla Glass4 ,same as Note5, but unlike NOte 3's GG3.

9)Also OS is upgradable to MarshMallow. Why languish on Lollipop forever when u can get the latest v^6.0.

          10) Processor. Snapdragon 805 with Adreno 420. Which provides a huge CPU and Gpu performance boost compared to the SD800 & Adreno 330 in your Note3. Also SD is close to the performance of SD 810 but is much more efiicient.

          11) 3GB RAM just like your N3, but Note4 comes with default 32GB internal memory unlike your N3.

          12) And last but definitely not the least, the price right now is very good, about half of what a brand new flagship will cost.

Now all you need to do is slap on a ZeroLemon Case and enjoy! What do u think of my valid points, neighbor? Pls reply back!
You still didn't mention which city though...... ;(. BTW are you from SouthEast Asia?????

A9 Pro is midrange speced, no S Pen. Note 4 slight improvement from Note 3, that's why I did not consider when it came out.

Note.5 had to be with the LEAST number of features compared from before.

BTW I always agree to most of your points, but why don't you upgrade to a note 4 or A9 Pro? Note 4 has all the goodies, except for FM Radio........

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2016S7 Edge is your wife's and you are depending it everywhere... moreYou are upset over fact I get to use the S7, yet I can bravely say that I can never exchange that with my Note 3. Never. Even my wife has offered me the S7 in exchange of the Note 3, since she not that of a techie. I gave her a Bluetooth earpiece, and a smartband, and she just don't care for those.

3600mAh just is not enough to carry me through 2.5GB LTE, and 6 hours, WITHOUT the inconvenience of carrying a charger/powerbank. Again, I need something that is at least 6000mAh extended battery. Thank goodness there is Zerolemon distributor in my city. I'm really thinking of getting another 10000mAh extended battery. I can wait for the Note8 for magnetically attached extended batteries.

Meantime, I do enjoy the camera experience of the S7 Edge, not its just okay battery capacity... Does eat you up that I record the battery performance of the S7 Edge EVERY DAY? Incan report it is excellent for light users who can claim "more than 24 hours" of use. That thing just lasts me 12 hours the way I use it.

Haven't you gotten the message yet? S7 Edge is my wife's. I maintain it, and i already notice a 15% drop of battery performance. The battery is the weakest feature. It degrades.

At least Lenovo and Motorola have come up with magnetic extended batteries that DIRECTLY powers the phone.
