As far as I know they have the same manual mode. I was very impressed by the app in general (despite not particularly liking the interface, and it was missing some features). It didn't support camera api 2, but since then a way has been discovered to activate it on the Redmi and Mi series in MM (then you can use a proper app like Camera FV-5).

The definition of dual camera photography finally changed. It used to refer to the pic taken using front and rear cam simultaneously, thus called dual camera feature. Now, its truly is dual camera.

this is NOT a rule though,

Other phones that you have mentioned look much better as the dual lenses setup is visually merged into one unit.

Anonymous, 21 Jul 2016still has bad manual mode cam.Not true. It has a very good manual mode. The only thing that manual mode lacks is a long exposure mode (>2s). I was able to take very good pictures with manual mode on the Xiaomi Mi 4c and its camera hardware is only average. That said, all Redmi devices have bad cameras, so I don't know why you are worrying about more advanced features like manual mode.

Anonymous, 21 Jul 2016if it true, why many flagship phones has best manual mode?they just please some dslr users. but still they don't use it as often as they've done with dslr. due to crappy image sensor you may only need longer exposure to keep your iso low. other than this they may not process RAW file to your need. they just post edit your photo from processed jpeg. look headache to most consumer without dslr skill right? so just point and shoot is enough right?

Bokeh is a very popular 'effect' which blurrs the background. It occurs for parts of the scene that lie outside the 'depth of field'. hTC One m8 with dual cameras had this effect.
