New yahoo messenger app is quite good as compare to old one. It is simple to use. But sometimes user faces issue while using it on mac or windows. ugh... still the new one??? I deleted it when they updated... the new one is SO HORRIBLE.. was hoping they put the new one out of its misery and reloaded the old one.. oh well..

new version of yahoo messenger is worst thn old one as nwe version does not have video voice and photo sharing facility

New one is not so friendly especially after getting habituated with the old one. It is only as if whatsapp or facebook extension. Not right.

So they are discontinuing use of the Yahoo Messenger app for PC that was unique, and they force everyone to use the phone version that is a clone of Facebook's and every OTHER messaging app. Congratulations Yahoo, you lost a loyal user of 8 plus years. I liked the ability to change my font, font size, color etc. I liked logging on and seeing a friend was online as well. I liked being able to show as invisible to all but the people I wanted to talk to. The new one is just like every other damned messaging app on the market. Who on earth would anyone bother?

oh please bring back yahoo chat rooms, stand in crowd there are already too many messengers very hard to be one of the top but with international chat rooms you could be different and this time also on smartphones not just PC i believe yahoo still have it's loyal users and millions will start chatting again having a great time, there's no good chatrooms app for now i hope yahoo will bring it back so we could have so much fun and kill some time yeah

Yahoo, Skype, BBM, ICQ & AOL, were all great messengers. But they failed to see the opportunities that mobile devices could have got them. Apps like WhatsApp, WeChat, Line and Telegram just stole people from these messengers. Now they get up and are trying to play catch up. But in reality it is very difficult to get all your friends to move to a new platform.

Bring back the old messenger! The new one sux BIG time!
First, whenever I want to install it from ▶ store, it says my device is not compatible with this version. I'm on lollipop 5.0.2!
I found the apk on another website, installed it, but it won't let me use it if I don't enter my phone number. F..K you Yahoo! I don't want to use my phone number!
Some people still want to use yahoo messenger to chat with strangers, people who we don't want to know our phone number or fb account.
Privacy is something extinct nowadays..

I remember using Yahoo Messenger ass the main Instant Messaging program since 13 years and I stopped using it in around 2010.
It was really great. BBM was so.
