Alien , 28 Jul 2016Don't wanna be rude or anything, but I wonder what the numb... moreYou are not rude. It's part of the game, some companies want to release products across all price ranges and others focus on the high end. There's no denying that the s7 and s7 edge are doing much better than the s6. I'd say that the biggest problem with samsung is not necessarily its low and midrange products, but more like releasing too many flagships in succession. s7 edge came out like 5 months after s6 edge+, its direct successor and now, the note7 which will have edge screen is coming out 5 months after the s7 edge, which means that those who wanted the best galaxy "edge" (note7) got screwed for buying it early. LG is seriously lost in its strategy trying to copy samsung.

The main thing to take away from here is 343 million smartphones shipped in Q2 2016. Other than Apple selling 40.4 million for a total market share of 12%. Whereas the vast majority of devicesin that quarter were Android, which actually grew in that same quarter.

Alien , 28 Jul 2016Don't wanna be rude or anything, but I wonder what the numb... moreThey will do whatever to earn revenue. HTC and other companies are doing the same thing but they are not doing that good. Apple doesn;t have any competitors with iOS because you know. So, users who have been using iOS for a long time and have invested so much money on subscriptions, music, apps, iCloud and so on. Thye have no option to switch unless they take this huge step for moving out and again buy apps and stuff (only if they want to).

With Android users, they have options, very time they buy new Android device, they can choose from various options.

Alien , 28 Jul 2016Don't wanna be rude or anything, but I wonder what the numb... moreThe galaxy s7 sold more than the iPhone 6s in the past three months in the US. On the one hand the iPhone is out of season, but you have to remember that the galaxy s7 has actual competition on android, and that the US is Apple's stronghold where even the government and the US military actively advertise their products. So yeah, Samsung is doing really well with their flagship.

Don't wanna be rude or anything, but I wonder what the numbers would be if you cut the lows and mids out of the equation.
I hate crapple but I have to admit that their strategy is much better. Releasing only high end phones and only one mid, while sammy is drowning the market with junk low and mid phones.
Sammy, HTC and LG are all flooding the market, while crapple and Sony are after quality. The chinese fortune cookies don't count. Even their high end phones are junk..
