What a shame - a Note with battery smaller than the S7 Edge.

Tired of reading comments about the Note7 being too expensive. Lets face it, the Note is the most technological advance phone in the world. So, if you want the most premium, you have to pay for it. Samsung as a company has dedicated a lot of time, talent, and dedication to give customers the best. The people behind the scenes the one you guys never give credit to... Designers, programmers, etc they spend a lot of talent and dedication so that when you get a product, you get the best. Not to mention all the features that a phone has, lets say like Gps, Gyroscope, Hart Rate Sensor, ability to Pay, how about buying all these devices separe and then a mobile phone just to make calls to see how many devices you will need to carry and how high will each device all together will ad up to.... I know some other mobile phones do a lot of features but not comparable to the Note7 when it comes out. Also, keep in mind that samsung manufactures in S. Korea where per Capita, the people make more than in China, where most mobiles are manufactured. So, thats why you see som company says Designed in California and build in china :)... My point is, that Samsung needs to make a profit and be able to pay their employees for their hard work. So instead of €850, it should cost even more. If you want premium and the best, you pay for it.

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2016Your bias is hilarious. So it 'beats' it on those front but... moreDigital photgraphy enthusiast here... (worked camera industry, owned greater than twenty digital cams)

Low light photography is what seperates the good sensors from the rest. (Even though lens is inarguably vital/the most vital part,.. obviously software/lens and sensor need to be well matched for something to shine)

Most any camera / camera phone takes a nice shot in great light. Hence why most digital photography handbooks in the nighties and early naughties said to use flash always.

Long exposures can make a subject blurred. To take 'fast' shots in low light and get good exposure requires expensive glass up front and a solid (Low light capable) sensor.

Hence why I would take a 12mp sony imx sensor (BSI/backside illuminated) over a 20megapixel sammy anyday. (not that these parts are fighting)

Optically stabilised being better than digital stabilisation (although video can get satisfactory digital stabilisation results when not in 4k pretty easily), some cameras will offer both.

Just know that synthetic/lab shots might not be indicative of real world performance for the average user. And true, whilst I shoot full manual controls on most of my cameras, the average user would be full auto,.. so raw performance etc might not be relevant.

Camera arguments can go any which way. It all depends on the USERs need.
Small prints and shots on camera/screens will always look good,.. many people don't actually get the difference of a good camera.
And our toddlers '21st birthday party', that camera phone photo blown up on the wall might not look as good as expected.

Still the camera that is in our pocket is most likely the one that will get the shot,..
just know its limitations and strengths and it can be a capable shooter

Really bad idea sticking with 4gb of ram and not making the jump to 6gb of ram like everyone was thinking up to the release date. Samsung again makes their phone very slightly better than their last release, not by much at all really. VERY MEDIOCRE SAMSUNG WTF ARE YOU DOING?
