First of all, every other brand offers Nougat for 2 or 3 of their phones, while Sony offers it to 9 devices. 9! And the list is not final, meaning there may be other phones also.
Second, you bought a low or mid-range phone and you expect high-end software support. Wake up! That's how every company survives nowadays. They need to make profit too. If they offer Nougat to every phone, nobody would buy the newer models and the profit would be zero.
And third, I'm not an expert, but from what I understand, starting the Z3+ they all run on 64 bit while the older models(z,z1,z2,Z3) they run on 32bit. Your Z3 is NOT COMPATIBLE with Nougat!
It's like you have a 586 PC and you're mad cos it won't run the latest windows. Get a brain and stop posting useless comments..

just curious... in which world does a difference of 0.01% can be considered "Far more" anything??
about the updates issues, it's not only about the brands, sometimes it's about the carriers locking them too (just saying) that's why we have odin for that (i found out it's extremely easy to use even at my first time) :)

sony has always been like this, theyre short when it comes to update with the numbers of devices they have, delayed with the latest hardware like Ram, delayed with update. thay even tend to backout the announced update because their team couldn't make it even if they are the latest to release.

But if you like to have some particular brand with their own home baked UI then the most refined UIs out there are Motorola, Sony & htc with less bloatware than others. Thats why i consider Samsung like going downhill because im not interested in their gimmicks and their UI, even after complete revamp this year, has lost its identity and became Huaweish/Appleish and would still lag, even on 4GB while a Sony performs better, lag free operations on a 3GB phone.

Blame QUALCOMM and GOOGLE for removing support on 800/801 SoC on Nougat and not SONY!!!! This will affect other Phone Manufacturer too anyway..

My Xperia Z2 Tablet is on 5.1.1 and no sign of 6.0...after one year of 6.0 no release for my tablet...sooo !! With lies u don't keep a company...if u say something is a most to do so.Sony sucks with updates !! No other Sony for me !! Never.
