Sony Xperia XR and Xperia X Compact specs leak ahead of Sony’s IFA announcement

Today is Sept. 01, 2016. I see that SONY is officially launching its new version of the "also-ran" Xperia Z-line, called the XR, in Berlin today. This will be another loser for SONY. What are they thinking? The camera is still not truly competitive with Apple or Samsung and there is no fingerprint sensor in the US models. Really? Really! And they still include all the bloatware and tricky worthless gimmicks like Playstation controls and dinosaurs in the picture, and last year's SD-820 processor.
SONY, if you guys would quit jerking around churning out new phones every 6 months and focus on launching just one really great phone per year I think you would do much better. And here are some other tips from the people who might buy your products:
1. Advertise them everywhere in all media.
2. Sell them everywhere, and quit ignoring the US marketplace. We are the biggest and most affluent market in the world. Why do you keep sending us junk phones, or no phones at all, or phones that have no fingerprint sensor?
3. Back up your phones with world-wide world-class customer support. When I am on vacation in France, I don't want to be told by a SONY authorized Service Center that they won't touch my broken phone still under warranty because it was purchased somewhere else, even if was purchased on SONY's own website! That's is the poorest excuse for customer support I have ever heard.
SONY is really struggling to keep its head above water, but it seems that they are not trying very hard to give us the phone and support we want. The XR seems to be just another warmed-over version of the ho-hum Z-line, complete with a new-same old under-spec'd Compact. Why waste your time and resources to introduce basically the same phone in different clothes time after time after time?
SONY, you continue to bring a knife to a gunfight. What are you people thinking?
There is nothing remarkable about SONY phones....it's the same-old, same-old over and over again.

But, sometimes updates are buggy & need more power like Marshmallow update first did. I remember multi tasking was difficult & many apps woud be restarted after revisiting them from home screen. It was fixed later, but for some mistakes like these U need extra RAM. Also, U never kno when Qualcomm or google may come up with some stupid condition to drop support.

O boy, look, here comes another SONY "also-ran" phone with inferior specs and no marketing effort or customer support. Will it be available in the USA and advertised extensively in all media? Probably not. SONY will continue to ignore the world's largest and most affluent marketplace and push it's Xperia series in places like India, Malaysia or Vietnam where most people can't even afford a loaf of bread, much less an over-priced SONY phone. It won't be advertised, and it won't be priced to sell. It will, as always, be over-priced and under-speced.
Will it have 4GB RAM. which is now the industry standard for Android flagship phones, even the Chinese phones? Probably not.
Will it have a bigger and much better better battery, say 3800-4000 mAH? No.
Will the Compact version (if there even is one) have identical specs to the full size phone? No, it will have a smaller battery and most likely lower screen resolution.
Will there be a fingerprint scanner on US version (if even sold in the USA)? Likely not.
Will the camera be substantially improved to render better performance in low light and action shots? Probably not.
Will it have a bright and clear Amoled screen with at least 2K resolution? No.
But will it have all the useless crap-ware included like 4K recording, dinosaurs in the picture and Playstation remote control? Oh, yes, of course.
Will the bloatware still be overwhelming? Yes, of course.
Will it feature last year's SD-820 processor and still overheat? Most likely.
Will SONY provide world-class customer support and world-wide warranty service no matter where the phone was purchased? No, hell no.
Finally, will anybody be surprised if this phone is another flop for SONY?
Answer: No.
SONY phones are about 2 years behind the curve. No wonder nobody wants them, especially at their prices. When will SONY finally see the light and give us the phone we really want to buy? Who is running SONY anyway?

But 3GB RAM and FHD is okay, if the price is lower. They are 'dummies' (sorry for using it tann) If they buy FHD phones with 3GB RAM at the same price with 2K 4GB RAM.
I will choose 4GB RAM even if i will waste 1gb RAM and rarely use VR. First, bigger number is more future proof, and the most important thing, I dont want to give extra money for that greedy company. For me its about being smart.

If you buy a chinese phone and its bad, you wont buy it again, right? You also always buy Sony phone bcz you always satisfied. Even if your older phone still working.
Just like people always buy Sammy phones.
So why people always buy Sammy phones, but not bonys?. I think many people move from bony. Its very likely you is only one of few fans thats satisfied. Others are regretting it.

Kids always say bony get... moreChinese sell more because they are prone to damage while Sony are durable they last more than 3-5 yrs so sell less may be.. My first Sony w8 (which my bro gift me on Sept 2011) are still used for calling,then sp(i gave to my sist),currently Im using z3 and xa( xa is too good except the battery). All tre 3 (w8,sp,z3) didnt went to service center even once.
I can upload all my Sony mobile photos if you wish.(tried using huawei on 2015 December but on Feb 2016 it stop working and I gave it to my cousin after I repaired it)
