Apple wants to put Japanese mobile payment service FeliCa on the new iPhone

25 August, 2016
Sony developed a giant tap-to-pay service in Japan which works with both plastic cards and mobile phones alike. Phones in Japan have had support for FeliCa for years and now it looks like Apple is planning to release an iPhone in Japan which takes advantage of this service. FeliCa works with vending machines, Japan’s public transit, retail stores, online shopping via an NFC reader, and in large buildings for entering pre-authorized areas.

fanboys sometimes need to stop talking smack specially if the blog is not just about Apple devices but for the convenience of the user, even the Japs themselves does not care about what iPhone or what their phone has for them as long as they can communicate with each other, that's what separets Japs from the rest of the world, they care less about the beef between fanboys from one brand to another

wow i had no idea that japan had that kinda technology that can make any country feel outdated :(
if it comes through it will be a really nice plus for apple services though keep in mind it'll probably be only in Japan (at least at first) so don't be all whiny and bashing if u don't live there (or plan to travel in the next couple years)
just enjoy the advance of the tech ^_^

agreed. FeliCa is easy to use and far better than the fruit pay.

Next thing we know, fruit company will try to take credit for it and patent it. sigh...
