I just spoke with a service adviser from Verizon and I was told that the price of the Moto Z Force is $720.00. That's the full price due to me not giving up my "unlimited data" I've been grandfathered into. I am not purchasing it from Verizon and will be searching for another vender.

They better price it carefully. With the axon 7 and oneplus3, the z play will fail if priced close to those phones. Obviously people will go for one plus for sd 820 and the ram. Z play has the battery and the moto mods and nothing else. I feel the majority will ignore it if priced over 25k. I do have a budget of 28k. I will wait and see if i can get the z play instead of the 1+3 to save some cash. My main requirement is battery life with above average performance. Don't screw up lenovo.

It's disappointing that the Z Play comes with a similar design to the other Z phones. The Moto M phone that appeared on TENAA was beautiful.

I hope the designs of the Moto Zs and G4s were a one-time thing and that Lenovo makes more phones made of metal with rear-facing fingerprint scanners.

"The unlocked Moto Z will be sold directly by Motorola for $699.99 and it will not work with CDMA carriers such as Verizon and Sprint. The unlocked Moto Z Play will go for $449.99. In both cases, the prices are higher than what Verizon is charging - $624 for the Z and $408 for the Z Play." I blame greedy Lenovo not Moto, this isn't like them at all.

Why glass? So you can shatter twice as much of the phone when you drop it? I really miss X's textured polycarbonate.

The x play was worth it, because other offers lacked in battery size. Now, with a bigger battery on stuff like the the s7.... I don't know if I am sticking with Motorolawhen I upgrade!

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2016Way too expensive. Should have been 350$ or less. It's gonna cost $555 in Europe and $408 in the US, a price difference of $147!

The camera lens reminds me of their Moto X watches lol probably where they got the idea from. And since when is the 3.5mm headphone jack a "legacy port"?!

Price is very high for a midrange device.

Here in India, it shall be Moto g4 & g4+ that will sell more than any other Moto Z members. Both G siblings tick well in most of departments of customer needs in general.

Moto E (2016) is doubtful due to 2 reasons - lack of fingerprint scanner and mediatek SoC.
And Xiaomi shall compete in all segments with all the brands due to affordable tags(quality aspect is a matter of separate debate)

True that Lenovo is not doing justice to brand Moto.No need to have so many iterations.
It is also rumored that X line up is not completely dead. And Moto M is new member. Don't go Samsung way please.

I think they should stick to E,G and X/Z only, with due focus to customer needs in each segments.
