Read on the OIS first before commenting. XZ had every single characteristics of this concept and even extra to be able to perform better than that.

2700 mah (don't think endurance will be any better than 70h.)
And 3gb ram for 6th consecutive generation or at least 3 generations of others (but then, why the hell you announcing 2 phones a year and talking 3 months to make them available). And for those who are saying 3gb is enough and their z3 is working fine after 2 years, they should know that it is because z3 had 3gb ram when other flagships had 2gb. Now all have 4gb and some 6gb, so Sony should at least provide 4gb. Why we get flagship processors and hardware? Otherwise sd625 is also "enough". 300 dollars also enough.

Yes they do! My X Performance never lags but when I had the S7 with FOUR GBs of RAM, it would lag every now and then, esp like when I played music on it via the MicroUSB port (not 3.5mm) for headphone listening. It would "skip" (aka lag lol) every 3-5 min. Same setup on my Sony XP..............3-4 hours straight, it DIDN'T LAG ONCE!

Bony was the only one making decent compact phones at the time, all they had to do was change up the design a little bit and carry on their mobile tradition, if they did they would've started making some profit by now, or at the very least attracting less hated.

I've had a z3 and currently own the XP. While I'm happy to see the compact come back why cripple it? With a mid range chipset and remove waterproofing? Again stupid little things that ruin great products. Also seeing that I own an XP the xz is a redundant product, why another flagship so soon? Sony calm down, maybe if you took a little more time developing products they'd be sure fire hits. While I somewhat agree the XZ is what the XP should have been I'm quite happy with the size. Sony all you really need is to target three size segments.
4.6-4.8 2700mah
5.0-5.2 3000mah
5.5-5.7 3500mah
Stuff the latest Qualcomm soc in, your best available camera sensor/lens. Keep ip67 ratings with front stereo speakers.
Keep your great and classy designs and you will hit home runs everytime.
Wouldn't help to innovate a bit to, here's some places to start:
Add ir blaster, you sell TVs capitalize on it.
Smaller bezels, you make TVs with small profiles learn from it.
Playstation, why not embrace it fully and develop Android/ios consoles games with possible tie ins to console.

As a Sony fan, im not impressed much. The xz is a flagship yep, but 64gb rom, 4gb of ram and small bezels are what a 2016 flagship should have.
You can argue that it has the best mobile camera (it most likely has), but standards for a 2016 flagship are standards.
I expect Sony to overprice it, as usual. And now they market it as splash resistant? What happened to the waterproofness of Z5 and x performance? Really I don't know what to think of xz.
As for x compact? I won't even dwell on that. Z5 and Z3 compact are miles ahead.

Sony has No USB 3.0 or 3.1 which transfers 10 Gbs good for 4K, in Xperia XZ and X compact.
It has just the connector is USB-C, the electrical part is practical USB 2.0, up to 64 MBs.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has USB 3.1 with USB-C connector, huge improvement for video and data transfer.
No wireless charging too. Big disappointment.
The top and bottom sharp corners will ruin the pants, tearing your pockets, unergonomical, worse than X premium.
