Samsung is withdrawing the Galaxy Note7 from some markets due to faulty batteries

01 September 2016
A recall still has not been officially announced - meaning that for now you won't have to return your purchased Note 7, but the unsold units are being withdrawn.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2016No it won't, when apple deliberately released their iphones... moreAre you serious? An exploding battery can cause a severe fire hazard that can lead to loss of property, bodily harm and death, how dare you compare it with a scratched phone sold by Apple....Note 7 is a high risk device that endangers the personal health and safety of the user that's why Samsung recalled it. They would have faced huge financial and legal implications plus a loss of trust and reputation from their customers f they didn't.

Samsung tested it's Note 7 in laboratory only. We all know its a awesome phone. But minor mistake of not testing charging of battery in actual home condition caused financial losses and reputation risk.
Samsung must take care of this advise otherwise it will loose its market to rivals again.

andrewuna, 02 Sep 2016Hmmmm... . You are so mistaken, I own a Samsung Note 4 too... moreNo it won't, when apple deliberately released their iphones, knowingly, that they were scratched, new in box ( gsma article.), and their buyers let them get away with it ,and so did the media, why should this GENUINE, battery glitch attract more bad reaction, than apples, greedy indifference did.

Samsung doesn't want a number of lawsuits at a later stage from people with burnt private parts! andrewuna, 02 Sep 2016Hmmmm... . You are so mistaken, I own a Samsung Note 4 too... moreTrue. And that's only because Samsung decided they want the same (type of) customers and decided to offer a similar product.
If they ditch the non-removable battery (And put a bigger one) and the fragile/impractical materials (Especially glass, obviously), offer a dedicated sd slot, maybe even add stereo speakers and water resistence (Yet there were once water-resistant smartphones WITH a removable battery, so it's not rocket sience); then people wouldn't be switching from one brand to the other, because...well, you aren't switching from a sports car to a limousine or vice versa - these are completely different products and philosophies. That would also eliminate the problem of having to be the first ald worrying about the date your competitors will present their new model.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2016This is all you wish fan boi.Hmmmm... . You are so mistaken, I own a Samsung Note 4 too and I don't like Apple products, I will never use them, I'm just here offering my honest opinion, this exploding battery of the Note 7 will lead to some people switching over to Apple or other android manufacturers, this is gonna hurt Samsung's image so bad but they will recover but it will never be the same again, their stock has already lost $7 billion in value since the news of the faulty batteries.

I love them both Apple and Samsung!

Right now I am enjoying the freedom from iTunes and the vibrant crazy clear AMOLED screens!

Who know iPhone 8 with AMOLED and I may go back!

Both have their own issues.. Just pick one and love it till you hate it!
