Fireworks, street lights, anything, limit is your imagination. Sold my Nikon DSLR and Fuji mirrorless earlier this year just because I got fed up to carry the load. All I want is a smartphone with a proper shutter priority mode

ex sony fan, 09 Sep 2016Long time Sony fan here, my family had only Sony phones sin... morelol 8 seconds shutter speed?! for what?! for that stretchy useless pictures ?! that feature is fully useless !! if you are a photograoher and use low shutter speed and long time pictures for something like night sky capturing and follow stars movement!! this 8 and 7 seconds can t do anything and u need a dslr camera with lenses for do that !! u are not a sony user or sony fan!! because a sony fan know that useless features have no place on sony phones !! u just a troll .

Apart from camera, this phone is not so impressive either in terms of specifications or look wise, battery is nice but that makes this phone quite thicker. Compact phone lovers would definitely buy this otherwise lots of better options are available in its price range. I wish Sony could keep pricing little lower side and add capacitive buttons, because no one wants to sacrifice a portion of screen of a compact phone in onscreen buttons.

Long time Sony fan here, my family had only Sony phones since 2004. Recently I had the Z3 compact and now the Z5 compact. Really disappointed by this x compact. Saw it yesterday in a store, handled it and it is nowhere near the Z3/Z5 compacts. Those felt premium in the hand, this just feels cheap. I know it's personal, but I find the design very disappointing too. Furthermore, don't know how Sony managed, although it has the same screen as the Z compacts the X compact's screen seems very small, even when I placed my Z5 compact next to it. The only redeeming feature is the new shutter priority mode for the camera, but even that's weak, with a slowest shutter speed of 1 second. All nokia's do 6 seconds, even huawei does 8 seconds, 1 second is really not enough for some nice slow shutter effects. Really disappointing.

SD650 is a beast. Xperia X that contains it can match the performance of many other supposed flagships like HTC10, LG g5 & even iPhone 6. Go check the videoes on youtube.

And yes they have the right to make the pricing the way they want since there is no competition on the compact segment. People complain so much about 650 soc like they are some kind of experts when the real world difference wont even be noticed. Ofc if you want to be a cool guy and impress your friends with your big Antutu score then get another phone .
