Shouldn't samsung go back to removable batteries? Replacing burning batteries cvosts way less that replacing whole units.

and if the S8 is pushed forward by the Note7 problem then perhaps are other devices too - like the Google G HTC Marlin that we are waiting to hear more about. To not allow the S8 to getaway with being the only choice under the limelight.

AnonD-93439, 14 Sep 2016and people were nagging about Sony releasing a flagship eve... moreReleasing flagships every 6 months is different from being more efficient with production and getting the same product out to market earlier. It's not like the s8 will only have SD 821 or something. It'll have the same chipset Sony will use 8 whole months afterwards.

I want my flexible Sammy Note 8. It's been years since they showed their flexible display tech. Want something with almost no bezel that won't break in the rear pocket, a stylus (popped in horizontally to allow for vertical flexing), non exploding flexi battery, daylight display, no branding on the front, in all black.
Rumor has it the iPhone 8 will offer something like this.

First of all they have to fix situation with Note 7. I mean fix it completely. No one has to be left with potentially dangerous device. And of course all the people who have pre-ordered or purchased Note 7 must receive safe and working replacement .
I'm a Note 5 owner. And the reason I'm not buying Note 7 is not its battery, but its curved screen and painted metal frame ( isn't it idiotic decision to make screen people supposed to write on with curved screen and paint metal) Let alone the fact that so many owners of Edge series devices are complaining of inconvenience of these devices. Yes, they look great but just until you start using them in real life. The only useful feature of curved screen is night time clock. Everything else is complete BS or can easily be implemented on flat screens. For some reason I think Samsung might make the same mistake they made with Note 7 - not to introduce regular flat screen model.

If it's going to be the same design better release nothing at all not to mention being rushed is not a good idea, better keep on working for as long as necessarily and come up with a new design, get rid of ridiculous touchwiz and put stock android instead, removable high quality aluminum back plate with removable battery, get rid of the home button and put dual stereo speakers with subwoofer in the bottom, dual cameras on both front and back, finger print scanner on back or beneath the screen, provide wireless earphones in the package and there you have the perfect phone.
